Yeah that's pretty much the case his fans such as myself like/love discord because we found him annoying in a funny way. In because he is discord which means chaos and disharmony, he's basically doing what his job entails so we found it silly to hold it too much against him. He also usually has a friendship related reason for his antics to get were he's coming from. Many fans of him like his relationship with Fluttershy which I won't get much more into for spoiler reasons. Now there are plenty who don't like him as well such as yourself but for me he just adds so much fun to the show, like you almost never know what to expect from him, like the multiple pop culture references in his song. Plus he has a really cool voice and design, which for aesthetic purposes does make him more charming than he probably would be otherwise.

Twilight’s cutie mark is the original element of magic as it looked in ancient times. Same as Cadence having the crystal heart, they’re predictive, and their cutie marks is what made Celestia put them in the Princess position.

idk if someone said it yet but the scene where discord dumps a bucket of water on himself at the end of his song is inspired by a scene from the movie flashdance, where a character dances to the song maniac and dumps water on herself.

Actually Lightning dust was/is a better flyer then dash so far in the show kf you recall she was only .5 behind dash's score but had her test on the hardest setting so yeah love dashie thats my girl but gotta give credit where credit is do. also twi isnt that big of a deal right now because she has no purpose what so ever seriously think about it WHAT is her purpose? cadence spreads love, tia raises the sun, and luna is best princess and raises the moon. oh and speaking of princessess you missed the 5th one rarity. for a split second thanks to a glitch in animation she had wings thus with her horn made her an alicorn

It’s not explained in the show but in one of the mlp books. Cadence was a Pegasus who was really good at spreading love and she became an alicorn, the princess of “love” (I’m paraphrasing I haven’t read the book in a while)
