I'm not 100% sure, but I think Toffee's voice actor was retiring or just leaving the role and they had to write him out of the story kinda quickly. Not sure if this is true, but that's what I've heard over and over. That might be why it felt like he was defeated kinda abruptly.

Ah, the episode that got me to stop watching the show. They wasted Toffee as a villain, man. It still makes me upset to this day since 2017.

Whoever said that Disney+ had an issue with ordering the episode and seasons is wrong because you are actually on S3, not S2 and you are watching it in the correct order. And the only reason why I know this is because I was watching this show while it was airing, and I remember having to wait for S3 after the cliffhanger of Star leaving earth
