BRIEF

 Commission for Simply 

'Something silly or cute with Non Toxic and Feiya'

SKETCH

Seeing that cute was the only direction I was given I thought; 'What could be cuter then sleepy snuggles?'

LINE ART

Used a smaller brush setting. I felt like my line art was too thick and made my art seem overly childish and too stylized.

FLAT COLOURS

Coloured the line art.

SHADING

Soft shading.

LIGHTING

Soft lighting and hard rim lighting over the bodies and hair shine.

BACKGROUND

I inserted a rectangle with a simple gradient acting as a sky.

Blocked in a grassy uneven patch of green. This patch acts as a nice compliment to the straight edges of the rectangle.

Added painterly leaves and grass over the blocked area. I kept it details enough to show what it is, but it is not detailed enough to take away from the rest of the picture.

REVIEW

Overall pretty happy with this piece. I tried a few new things, but nothing too over the top. Lighting could be better.
