2024-01-14 02:54:19 the next episode is so friggn good. i like how overconfidence gets the demons killed like EVERY SINGLE TIME. and it makes perfect sense. they are overwhelmingly powerful against the regular opponents they've been encountering all this time. you think they'd be a bit more cautious against frieren the slayer and her companions but i guess not.

Fun fact that a lot of people miss. Aura stayed hidden till 30 years ago (when Himmel died). This is how much she feared him, she needed to be sure he was gone.

Looking back over the show, i kinda feel bad for qual now. qual was basically done as soon as he revived. 80 years of developement, specifically as a direct counter to HIM, was too much of a barrier for him to overcome. but unlike the rest of the demons in this show we've seen, qual didnt lose because he was arrogant. quite the opposite, it shows just how dangerous of an opponent he was that within only a few minutes of being revived, he started to develope counters and work arounds of the 80 years of technical defenses to counter him. look at the rest of the demons we've seen. lugner 100% could have killed both stark and fern with a sneak attack but decided to be a petty little b and paid the price. linie had stark beaten MULTIPLE times and then just walked away thinking he was done. draht , had he just been a bit more cautious perhaps could have done something against frieren, at the very least, he could have recognised that he was outmatched and fled.

Well, we don't have the full story of how Frieren managed to seal Qual. It's very possible that it was the consequence of arrogance - seeing that Himmel's party cannot defeat him and thus getting sloppy, thus not considering that sealing is even an option. But regardless... I don't feel bad for demons anyway, regardless of the method used to dispose of them.
