A few things of note: Nanachi is said to smell like caramel and cotton candy, there was actually a perfume sold in Japan that smelled like Nanachi. Some people say that it is still available, but I have never been able to find a place that has it in stock, it is always sold out. The translator used the word supple to describe the girl's body, although that's the literal translation, I think a more accurate one would have been sturdy. The group going down also had strength in numbers. Remember that there are no other groups down in the Abyss, in the current time, big groups of cave raiders have to worry about meeting groups from other nations, not just the monsters of the Abyss. I really thought that season 2 would not be able to top the first episode of season 1, but it surpassed it. The way they did it was by flipping the script. In season 1, the characters had all the information about the Abyss and the Curse and we didn't. This time we know and the cast does not.
