I am glad you overcame the Organization’s attempts to sicken you! As always, I really appreciate your reactions and discussions. Since you were talking about number of episodes, there are 24. There is an episode 25 ova, but I’m not sure where it might be viewable. Also episode 22 has a credits scene.

It's funny with Anna saying how she doesn't think you could do a "what if" type of series because everything fits so well, but given the original format being a visual novel, that's sorta exactly what it was.

Great reactions and discussion as always! About how Kurisu will end up working for SERN in the future of the alpha worldline: I think that, at the very least, she was forced to, it wasn't of her own choice. But my theory is that she actually never worked/will work for SERN. All Suzuha knew for sure is that 1. Kurisu was known in the future as "the mother of time travel" and 2. SERN's break through regarding time travel was the invention of the time-leap machine. From that Suzuha came to the conclusion that Kurisu must have worked for SERN but she didn't know it for a fact. Just the achievement of inventing the time-leap machine is enough for Kurisu to be "the mother of time travel". Remember that in episode 12, just before the 1st time leap, when Moeka and SERN barged into the future gadget lab, she told her goons to take Kurisu, Daru, Okabe AND the time-leap machine with them.

the peak moment!!!

If you watch Steins;Gate 0 it explains Kurisu’s connection to SERN and why Suzuha thinks she works for them. I won’t spoil anything if you haven’t seen it and I know Ben and Anna haven’t, but it’s worth a watch if you’ve not checked it out yet.

Since it's getting close to the split off point, there's also steins gate 0 to consider. It's best viewed inbetween episode 22 and 23 but that's not mandatory. (you would also have to have access to the special episode 23b). Maybe do a poll to see what you should do if you're interested in watching it as well? It's up to you at the end of the day but what I will say is that I watched 0 after finishing the original series and I wish I could have seen it in the proper order because I can tell it would have been a unique and amazing experience if I had.

How you two have the willpower to not binge-watch the rest is otherworldly. This episode is peak heart ache. If you want to be technical it's not a peak or a circle it's an ouroboros ;)) I watched this just before you two, this is one of my top 3 favorite animes of all time, maybe even #1. I do agree with the other comments. You have another series and an OVA to consider when this is done.

Don't listen to any comments telling you to watch s;g 0 before finishing s;g. It absolutely ruins the experience and is a stupid idea.

Since you guys are rolling through Steins;Gate like there's no tomorrow, are you guys going straight into the other Steins;Gate content as if it were just a 2nd season of the show, or are you guys stopping and polling for a replacement show again? If you are continuing after the original show ends, I'll point you to the following: * You mentioned in this episode that there's 24 episodes of the show, but I'd like to bring to you awareness of a follow-up 25th episode that was released as an OVA. It's an anime-only addition that fits in great with a watch of the original show. It's been since de-canonized because it has some contradictions with the official after-story but it's still a fun watch, especially if you aren't yet concerned about the wider official stories. * There also exists a Steins;Gate movie (English title is "Load Region of Déjà Vu") that is also anime-only and takes place after Episode 25. Like Episode 25, it's not canon in regards to the wider official source, but also like 25, it's a fun watch if the anime is your primary (or only) exposure to the wider official story. * Steins;Gate 0 is a "sequel" (for whatever that's worth in a multi-verse time travel narrative) show that takes place entirely between episodes 22 and 23 of the original Steins;Gate (and has a special episode "23b" with alternate events from the original episode 23 to segue off into Steins;Gate 0). Despite its placement in the chronological order, it was very much written like a sequel series and I think you should simply watch it with the understanding of how and where it fits in the timeline after finishing the original show.

Thank you for not wanting to spoil anything. I've watched S;G 0 but it was a long time ago, I don't remember it well (I've rewatched S;G this last months thanks to Ben and Anna). But iirc I think I know what you're refering to in S;G 0 but imo it doesn't really explain why Suzuha thinks Kurisu works for SERN. Can't develop further though w/o spoilers for S;G 0

You have unlocked a secret episode of Steins;Gate: Hyde of the Dark Dimension. This is an alternate story from a Drama CD in which Okabe makes a mistake in erasing Ruka's D-Mail and ends up in Attractor Field Gamma (Γ), at Divergence 2.615074. Here, he must confront a horrifying alternate reality and somehow make it back to his own world line. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPlmCTWRwHHftS9tj-sZe7gDZIxICf0Mp
