Great catch on Al interjecting to save Subaru from embarrassing himself, 100% what he was going for. Crazy how many GOATed characters they introduce for the first time all in one episode. We've now heard Reinhard van Astrea be called the 'Sword Saint' and Wilhelm van Astrea be called the 'Sword Demon'.

One of the worst episodes of anime ever personally, I stopped watching the show here entirely due my severe hatred of Subaru. He deserves all the pain he gets and I’ll leave him forever in this low in my mind. I still love Rem tho. Wish you the best on the rest of your journey through this show without me :)

That’s fine he doesn’t deserve to change for the better or have a redemption arc. I can’t think of a character I despise more in anime. But that doesn’t mean others shouldn’t enjoy the show, it just stopped being for me at this point, and having read a synopsis of the rest of the light novel was never going to be for me again :)

Extreme cringe to be honest, especially when you follow it up with " I still love Rem tho". Pretty clear where the hatred is comfing from, which makes this even more cringe. Self insert bait got you and you still couldn't see it.

There is a subtitles mistranslation in Episode 4 actually. It's not "the crime unfolding before me" when Reinhard sees the insignia but "the crime of overlooking what's unfolding before me", i.e. Reinhard would be committing a crime if he just ignored the glowing insignia in Felt's hand.
