Something worth mentioning When they crossed over from the demon continent to the millis continent was when they had to smuggle ruijerd. so once they arrived at Zantaport be went to collect ruijerd, then got captured by the beast people. So rudy didnt even have a chance to go to the adventurers guild to see the message paul left.

Ricky up here told an amazing point to why Rudeus was so careless, and another one is Rudeus is a genius in this world, bcs he was born with his past life memories, but even bein the genius he is he never even managed to scratch paul in combat, it would be so natural for him to assume his father and mother would be okay if he, a child, considerably weaker and not well known (paul and zenith were in an S rank team, it was mentioned in the anime start) managed to survive, bcs he knows they are very strong and capable

In regards to Rudy's relationship to Paul&Zenith, what one must consider is that the strong parental bond we form with our parents stems in large part due to them being our source of food, shelter, knowledge, and comfort through a large portion of our early development. To a child a parent is like a God, because they are new to this world and can't provide for themselves. Given that Rudy came into this world with a lot of knowledge, and the ability to be self-sufficient as soon as his body grew a few years, he's not going to form the same kind of parental bond as is the norm. Compounding this is that he already had that bond at some point with his parents in his first life, so to him Paul&Zenith are the mother and father of the body he inhabits in his second life, but are not *his* parents. In the end, Rudy puts more value on the bonds he has formed through his chosen interactions, than those compelled by biological imperative, so his first friend in this new world(his first friend in decades) in Sylphie would be more important than Zenith, who while a good mother is not someone he formed a deep connection with.

The chance of a letter getting from the Demon Continent to Buena Village might be lower than the chance of winning the lottery. Roxy sent the letter in ep5 6 times iirc and that was from the Shirone Kingdom, she sent the box to him while he was in the Greyrat mansion with an A rank adventuring party to make sure it reached him.

Todays discussion was really good, was super pleased with how much they talked about. I was waiting the entire discussion for Anna to make the connection between the candle and what she said in the discussion and it was soooo good to me when they brought it up. Not important and idk if they already know this or not but goblins in Otaku culture and especially the kind of content Rudy would be inclined to watch are portrayed as vile, malicious and... well, rapey. Might give more context to that scene.

Def came across as more that Rudy WORRIED would happen than anything else, when he had that fantasy sequence. No perversion Yup Esp with how he acted coming out of it, discouraging Eris from going and trying to secretly get Ruijerd to keep her safe

One thing that I think reasonably contributes to why Rudy, either from an adult or child perspective, is that Rudy and Eris were basically at ground zero for the Mana Disaster; so they would have no way to know how large the pillar of light would have reached.
