Oh yeah so good to get spoiled the whole part 2 in 1min30... imagine if vol. 28 they spoiled vol. 32...

dolo

When tou watch the opening you can skip until episode 20, there is no surprise anymore.

dolo

The experience Split by 2 and no surprise about the rumbling.. what a good choice.. this is the worst opening to watch.

I love you guys, ur sth that i lookup for the whole week already. Thank you for all! Can't wait for the stuff coming from now on!!

Night Sterling

Prepare for the season of cliffhangers 😂 Also i do believe that Eren's eyes are always meant to be green despite looking blue sometimes

Paris Hardy

Glad the friend chimed in & you guys got to enjoy the opening. This weirdness surrounding OP’s & ED’s is so off putting. Maybe I’ve just never changed since I was a kid watching anime, but getting to enjoy that opening song/visuals is ingrained in me.

Toidleboy

lmao yea people are weird with telling people whether or not they should watch openings/eds or not (even though 90% of them watched it first time anyways) i cant understand how some people dont realize that things arent spoilers without context in openings. theyre part of the show, made and meant to be watched as they intended with the show. and then on top of that, people mentioning spoilers are in openings only draws more attention towards said openings. end of the day its part of the show and should be watched whether you like it or not, deal with it, they add to the vibe of the specific season/show in general.

Average Patreon Comment (all in good fun) "IMPORTANT: Anna, Ben, please make sure you DO NOT WATCH episode 18 of season 4. It directly spoils the events that happen in the next episode like what happened after episode 17. I know some people will say its part of the AoT experience, but I think it would rob us of your wonderful theorizing and we'd appreciate it if you would just speculate on what could have happened over those 20 minutes. Much love!"

Forrial

Anna The opening does not say any "You two", its says "I don't want anything I'm just here to Beware".

Forrial

As you said, its what you believe, but the truth is that his green and blue eyes are not a mistake. Maybe it would be understand able if they did this only once or twice, but they repedeatly change his eye color depending on the situation and they dont change those 'mistakes' in the bluray version.

Joshua

There are cases when intros in anime give away too much. This is relatively timid with only like 2 scenes of spoilers (Annie and the Erens pupils). There's also season 3 part 2 intro that shows plot points from the battle, and Ben and Anna did say they were glad to have skipped the intro. Personally, I was on board with them just listening to the song and not watching the visuals, but I'm glad they really liked it! But as Ben clearly noticed the zoom into Erens pupil was definitely a spoiler haha.

Kanagi

??? why would they just skip a episode makes no sense

hman70

Shoutout to you Cicerone Noah, I think you made the right choice, friend. Personally I thought they’d skip the visuals but I’m glad they got to enjoy it the way most fans did as the show came out. Sorry to those who wanted them to skip the op. Now that that controversy is out of the way, let’s enjoy these last 12 eps together :)

Paris Hardy

Exactly. Context is everything. Yes, these two are incredibly perceptive, but that just makes their reaction even better.

I think the eye thing you guys talked about was just before Eren uses the War Hammer ability, which is consistent with when we saw the original War Hammer use its ability

Ego Jinpachi

@Toidleboy yes 90% of us watched intros for 2 reasons: #1 we are not a react channel and #2 we most likely didn't have anyone behind the scenes tracking our episode's progress to warn us about possible upcoming spoilers. We are not weird, their circumstances are different from ours so the same logic doesn't apply to them, merely by the fact of being a react channel (not a regular show viewer like us) and by their over-analyzing tendencies, if we eliminate those factors out of the equation, we get a watered down watch-along experience like many other casual yt channels. Many of us follow this channel mainly for how much they get invested in the stories and their theory crafting ability and having watched the intro undermines it, that's all.

Paris Hardy

The commoditization of community viewing. I guess I can understand what you mean. You feel entitled to control their viewing experience . But again, it is weird that people feel so strongly about reaction channels watching the entirety of the episode as it was presented & meant to be consumed. Especially a minute & twenty second intro. I don’t think it watered down their reaction or discussion in the slightest.

Ego Jinpachi

You are so disgustingly rude so don't expect me to hold back, I don't feel entitled for shit, they have expressed in their own words (way before I was even a patreon member) that they prefer not to watch intros if they contain possible spoilers which align with my desires perfectly, I'm not imposing those feelings or demands on them yet here we are having them watching spoilery intros once again when it was avoidable (yes tedious extra measurements were needed but that's the price to avoid spoilers). If you are going to insist on calling names, call us weird for trying to preserve the best experience possible for them and the purest reaction for us because for YOU it doesn't matter as much if they see a few spoilers or not and everyone should feel the same way about it as YOU, otherwise, they are categorized as weird, then screw YOU.

Corey Hughes

my hype for this reaction is tenfold knowing they watched the op.

Ryan

I’ll preface by saying I would have been happy regardless of whether they ended up watching the OP or not, but Ben literally said in the beginning of this reaction that they’re glad they didn’t watch the season 2 OP because it probably would have spoiled episode 6(arguably the biggest reveal of the show) for them because they would have seen it coming. So advising them to not watch an EVEN MORE spoilery OP is neither weird nor entitled lol it aligns with how us viewers assume they would prefer to experience the show. I’m glad they really enjoyed it though, so it all worked out in the end!

Tempered Glasses

As a matter of fact, season 4 part 2 is just a spoiler for season 4 part 2, so just listen to the whole show audio only. Real AoT fans never look at the screen! Too many spoilers!

amir.cricket

opening said: i dont want anything - im just here to japanese accent make engrish hard.. it does sound like you two / mewtwo

amir.cricket

a word about zeke plan.. i dont know how aware he was on the whole group of eldians who sent to paradise with he's parents, grisha and dyna.. if he knew them he probebly knew in the end every one of them was sorry he was born... later on ksaver with the story about he's wife and child.. i think zeke dosn't look for everyone agreement since everywhere he look, he see's eldians that wish they wern't born to this cruel world

Rice

Yeah but the thing is, they probably wouldn’t have guessed the twist? Like maaaaaybe they could’ve gotten it, but it’s a lot different when you’re watching it for the first time after seeing the content rather than when you’re watching it throughout the experience. Everyone references this twist as legendary but Im assuming we all watched the intros right? That means the twist was still effective of us regardless. It’s just kind of annoying to me when people as the audience can watch something then realize the spoiler potential it has AFTER completing it and then stopping others from consuming the media the same way as them even though it was literally fine. Like I’m one of the guys who didn’t want my friends to listen to the season 4 part 2 intro because I had read the manga and knew what was going to happen. Looking back I should’ve just let them have fun and listen dude. It’s about the experience. THEIR EXPERIENCE, not you crafting the “perfect” experience for them.

Ego Jinpachi

"not you crafting the “perfect” experience for them." @Stone Free 🤦‍♂️ You are basically Paris Hardy 2.0, same arguments, so just read my previous reply and understand why what you typed is not what's happening here. It's not about what I want, it's about what they want, but they obviously don't know what a new intro is going to be about and if they should watch it or not, that responsibility lies on us viewers who have watched it (why am I even explaining this obvious stuff... but it seems you don't even understand the premise here), I'm just merely suggesting they shouldn't watch it BASED ON THEEEEEEEEIR past comments (NOT MINE) where they disliked watching other spoilery intros. You are just so desperate and want instant gratification at the cost of ruining a better experience for everyone else who cares for spoiler-free reactions, it's not like they are never going to watch the bloody intro, just wait until the rumbling happens at least then you get your intro reaction and we get the purest reactions and everyone is happy, we only get to see authentic reactions ONCE, why the fuk should we not be eager to make them the best reactions they can be...? once they are done with the show they will regret having watched it, they are just in the honeymoon period right now...

Paris Hardy

At the risk of sounding even more disgusting I don’t believe any further good can come from discussing the matter. Some people would prefer that they had not watched the opening so they could have the purest most undiluted reaction ever. Others are relieved that they did. Minds will never be changed on the matter. Lets be done with this.

Ego Jinpachi

If snide remarks had stopped I wouldn't have replied to the last 2, people can't give their opinions without shitting on others?

Tempered Glasses

Great reaction :) Just going to leave this here XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koyUIX0vkFs

Thank you for watching the opening, imo its the best one in the series and completely sets the tone for part 1. Also the lyrics are important for trying to help us understand Eren as a character. Then there's the ending song..... just pain
