Great discussion you guys! I love how much you talk about and dig into the shows you watch. Also just as a warning, people love to spoil a certain aspect of the show. I was unfortunately spoiled for it while it was airing by someone who had obviously read the source material, and a quite a few other reactors had it spoiled (one of whom apparently was spoiled by someone on their patreon). Hopefully there won't be anyone here who feels the need to spoil the series, but just as a heads up!

It's a shame this will go against Frieren for all the awards and probably lose all of them (Frieren definitely deserves everything), but Aoi Yuuki is absolutely amazing especially in this second cour and might beat Atsumi Tanezaki for the best VA performance.

Ya that’s kinda was scared me for frieren and apothecary diaries coming out close together. Frieren bas more fights which tends to draw people in and more people will choose it over apothecary diaries which is heartbreaking but Iv come to just accept it a while ago ngl. I wish both of these animes came out different years so bad so apothecary diaries could stand a chance

Shows with fighting will always beat out the shows with none at all in anime awards. Personally I’m glad it’s looking like a show like Frieren will actually stand a chance against the typical shonens with flashy visuals and no substance that always seem to win way more than they deserve…

I love how hyperfocused Anna is on this show, almost like having perfect memory of every shot in the entire thing LMAO I think it would be incredibly cool for them to try to look into the flowers depicted in the show (and in the openings). There is a lot of flower imagery, and it is insanely well done, but easy to miss.

Frieren shouldn't be praised just cause of the fights (which were some of the best I've seen). Frieren will win everything, because it deserves to win everything. People will say recency bias blah blah, but nah, it is a perfect season of anime and for me right now top 3 animes of all-time (AoT and 86 being the other two). @Luis Arispe If Solo Leveling wins anything, I have lost all hope for the anime community. That show was all hype with nothing to show for it. Kinda like JJK Shibuya, but at least that has awesome characters in it. But I don't want to get in to that fight again. But I'm 100% sure Frieren will win everywhere, where it has not been nominated yet. MAL, r/anime, etc all have Frieren as #1 anime of all-time already...but I get your point. Usually I'm happy to see my favorite animes just to get a nomination, which speaks more than the fan votes for the winner (Crunchyroll has had 86, Lycoris Recoil, Insomniacs After School etc nominated).

Ah, so the schedule post from the 31st still goes eh? Thought something came up again and I missed it. Well, it is what it is I guess. Though, a notice or more communication in general would be appreciated. While I understand Ben's situation, and for whom I have every sympathy, it has to be noted that keeping us all in the dark all the time is just bad business.

agreed. Definitely need to get better at communication. However they strictly don't read any comments so they don't even realize they need to get better at it. That may have came off kinda rude but they're doing this as a full time job now and I legitimately wish to see them succeed.
