Have you heard of Magical Girl Madoka Magica Side Story 「Magia Record」? The main character is a new character in the anime, but Mami, Sayaka, Kyoko, and Madoka all appear.

i joined your Patreon just to see you guys react to Eighty Six. I was one of the many people excited for both of you to watch this anime. There’s so much content in each episode for you guys to analyze and discuss. A-1 Pictures did a wonderful job at taking advantage of each frame to tell a story, even if it’s the way they transition from one scene to another. You guys have done a wonderful job with your discussions. The soundtrack is composed by Sawano (AoT/Solo Leveling) and Yamamoto. A final fun fact is that Lena shares the same VA as Ubel from Frieren 🙌🏻

2024-04-12 05:25:39 if a mod can relay this to ben and anna, Do NOT watch the intro to the next cour of mushoku. theres so many spoilers in it. its pretty bad. like even if you dont know whats coming, it will definitly spoil you.

Openings were meant to be watched. Nobody in Japan is skipping the mushoku tensei opening, so why should we? The general story beats being spoiled shouldn't effect your enjoyment of the show because you still dont know any of the context surrounding what you see in the opening.

In this case, the new MT OP does spoil characters returning, particularly with ones with a strong emotional attachment to Rudy, so it is a pretty big deal. It's not like when you watch a brand new show for example and watch the OP and see all these new characters, most people wouldn't know the context. But in this new MT OP, especially for people continuing to watch the show but never read the LNs, most people would be like "whoa whoa, *that* character is coming back?! We're gonna see them again?!" chances are some of them will get excited, but some others will probably think "...man I wish they didn't show that in the OP" and thus the surprise will be ruined for those others.

If anything, it felt like that the new MT OP was meant to be released for the 2nd to last episode of the season (or at least a bit later into the season, kinda like how Re:Zero does with how it handles OPs), but Crunchyroll screwed up and accidentally released it early, as the video on YouTube got taken down after a while.
