Greetings guys!

First of all, thank you for your constant feedback about General Practioner and its issues. I am aware someone believes I abandoned the game, but that is NOT the case. However, I remind you that I'm working on this project on my own, and that there is no studio supporting my work as it relies on players only.

That said, I'm receiving reports I'm going to address, so you know what's going on right now.

GAME NOT STARTING
Some of the Steam users complained about the game not starting overnight. I already tried to start the game from Steam myself, and it works fine. It looks like some configurations have had issues when starting the game, and I'm working on understanding what's going on. You understand that with NO ERROR REPORTS nor every available computer, it is going to take some time for me to understand the issue, which only affects a very rare minority of people, as right now some hundreds of you are playing it (if it was an issue with the game I would have 100% refunds AND 0 people playing, which is not happening).

THE GAME ENGINE
As many Visual Novels, General Practitioner is written in Ren'Py, which has been recently updated to its latest patch. This might have caused some issues, which caused me to revert to the previous GP's patch. While I apologize for the issue this caused to some of you, I cannot speed up the process of releasing a patch for the engine, as I'm not its proprietor.
I am going to recompile it once more and release a small fix for both GP and Yomi Alliance, and I WILL NEED YOUR REPORTS to know if it's fixing the problem (with achievements as well). Steam also changed its integrated library recently.

As usual, you do understand this huge game has been made by myself only, so I rely on the documentation from both Steam and Ren'Py to make it work. It's entirely in my skills, but it will take some time.

MISSING FILES IN STEAM
Every time you check for the file integrity you get 100+ files "missing" or needed to be redownloaded. THIS IS WORKING AS INTENDED because of the game's engine, as it writes temporary files every time the game is launched, which of course then differs from the ones in Steam's main repository. This doesn't cause ANY issue with the game, it's not a bug, nor it affects anything, and doesn't mean the game is broken in any way. When you leave a negative review about it, remind that you are basically telling people my game's bad because of some temporary files. You are free to check that the same happens with every ren'py-based Visual Novel out there.

COVID IN ITALY
The current situation with COVID-19 restrictions in italy severely impacts on my family, thus making it harder to to everything in time. I had to reschedule my next game's launch, a couple patches with Yomi Alliance and voice actors, the creation of my Patreon page AND General Practitioner's next FREE update. I apologize for this, I truly do, but I don't know how to make it better, since it's not my choice to lock us away like they're doing.

This also hugely impacted my earnings, as well as many people out there. My studio is VERY small (myself only) but I feed my family with it, and of course the budget for my next games (a new Unity-based engine, CGI, interactions) was impacted as well. I was going to launch a kickstarter for my newest projects, but that's out of the question now, since everyone is having a hard time because of the pandemic.

DELAYS AND REFUNDS
I apologize for any delay in my projects. And I would understand if you like a refund for the game. You can always contact me in my email development[at]brunimultimedia.com, if you disliked the game A LOT, leaving a negative review even after 100+ hours and Steam won't refund it, contact me and I'll send you money via Paypal.

I started this job to entertain people and form a nice community around my games, not to fool them or take their money without giving anything in return.

Even if you liked my game but still want a refund, be my guest. Really.

I've got time my friend. Try not to sweat it. It is rough out there for everyone. I'm not going anywhere and I look forward to any updates. Whenever they come. It's all good. Stay safe and healthy, you and your family.
