0.0.20 will play differently based on your choices! (Patreon)

As 0.0.20 continues its development, today I'll introduce you to the story behind the "Christmas' Eve event" that you'll play.

Your relative will invite you over her place to spend a day all together, putting aside any discomfort you might have with her husband or herself and behaving like an ordinary family for a change.

Of course you will attend the day with your romantic interest (or alone if you either don't have one or are pursuing Claudia as your romantic interest). Game events and choices will change according to who you're bringing to the party and even conversations will be a lot different between your guest and the rest of your family.

While the day will more or less move the same way regardless of who you're romancing, situations could be very different in their development. Let's take the pool scene above for example (your former house has a heated pool which is very nice in the cold winter):

- Your romance could have the same size as your relative, so that she can use her swimsuit

- Your romance might decide to swim in her underwear if her size isn't appropriate

- Your romance could be or not shy about this and could react differenctly to Bob's staring at her the whole time.

This is just an example of the different situations you will face with different characters. Of course polyamorous relationships are still possible, yet the game will have to choose who to bring with you to this event (your "main" romance), and this will play in this order of preference:

1. Your relative (so you'll be alone)
2. Elisa
3. Erika
4. Rita
5. Aaron/Vanessa
6. Christina
7. Kiko

This also means that when polyamourous relationships will be unlocked in the game the other partner could react bad to you going to a family day without him/her. But that's for a future devlog to explain.

There will be a full day playing on December 24th for this update, featuring three different events for each part of the day plus a family dinner with the Doctor's Mother, introduced here for the first time.

- Morning: Greetings and Swimming Pool
- Afternoon: Board game all together
- Evening: Let's prepare for the dinner
- Dinner
- After dinner: niece goes to bed, what will happen in the "Truth or Dare" game your relative's proposed?

Facing you with all new challenges and choices, "Merry Christmas" will mark another step in the doctor's past and present life and will determine the outcome of your romances in next in-game year as well.
