Random Exams: asking a parent for symptoms (Patreon)

The Random Examination Project is underway and its very first branch will be released in late March.

Children of age 6-11 of both genders will be brought to the clinic for many causes, from the flu to fractures to hernias etc.

Sometimes you can also examine an healthy kid as well, as her parents brought her to you just out of concern or for an annual well-child exam.

When asking the parent about his child's symptoms they will reply with statements related to the illness at hand. However, like in real life, this might not always be the case. A parent could not realize that his child is sick since the child's behavior has been normal until now, or the parent might have been too distracted to notice as well.

Some parent's replies will be also the same for various diseases. A child with diarrhea could have the same symptoms as a child with Crohn's Disease while a child with Bronchitis could have symptoms similar to Asthma...

It's up to you to sort out what's going on with your patient and give out the right diagnosis and treatment.
