Writing text choices is of course the fastest way to achieve what you need, but it's so uuuuuuugly!

That's why starting with next thursday's release of 0.0.6b you'll start to see an improvement over the MC's choices of conversation. You will have icons at the end of the text showing the tone the doctor uses while talking the reply.

I think this is a funny and better way to play through the various choices.

Of course you will see this implemented over the weeks, since it requires some time to adapt all the dialogues to the new system. Not every choice will receive an icon. An icon-less choice of conversation will mean that no particular tone is used.

Now, about the icons' meaning:

 Calm

Charming

Flirty

Playful

Professional

Sensitive

Strict

More choices will be eventually available in future.

It's like mass effect Andrômeda dialogue options. it's pretty cool

Zal

So basically any mass effect choices just with more options. Or more like an evolved form of Fable which beat them to the option choices changing how game went and gave you good or bad guy points. But yeah I never played Andromeda, but its tested and true system that is probably even older then Fable. :P

It's alright but give a TT so the player knows what they are picking. I use them in my own project, can shoot you some example code if you don't know how. Makes using the Icons a LOT easier. So you can do something simple up front, and have an area off to the side for the tool tip, and that says (STRICT - Don't waste my time. FLIRTY - But I heard you like things between your legs.) Or something like that.

Perversity

I prefer to read the options, to see which I would choose. Because I choose off the wording, not the emotion behind it.

I will explain the icons in a tutorial text, I prefer that to tooltip in this particular case. I use tooltips in the examinations, if you saw the new interface. I will always text out the options, the icons will be added to make the player understand the tone used, since there's no voiceover...

Ahh cool cool, I haven't seen the new interface yet just tried out the .0.0.5 build. It's a very interesting concept. Fun game play so far. I think I understand what your going for not though, I thought you were replacing the text menu's with all icon's. (It's the end of my day so I'm a bit on the tired side and didn't read through all of what you wrote which is my fault. Also you have my Sympathy about needing to go through and adjust all the existing Convo options. I had to do that 3 times so far in trying to improve game play... It always takes a long time, but in the end is totally worth the effort.
