👀Early look // Fan art series // Lucy (Patreon)

Heeeyy guys!

This month's fan art features Lucy from the series Fallout, and honestly, I had to redraw it a few times. Initially, I started by copying the lighting from the reference, which turned out to be a big mistake. Midway through rendering, I realized something was off and I didn't like the result at all. Then, I decided to try a different approach: start with a black and white version and then color it. The colors turned out terribly and I gave up again :)

Eventually, I decided to go with my usual method, but this time without looking at the reference for lighting cues. Instead, I tried to guess the light source and how the shadows would work. It wasn't easy, but I ended up with something :)
