I mean i think the whistling makes sense considering nameks have super heearing. It's actually a interesting weakness to give. Which honestly if you could hear way better then a human that would sound afwul especially if you are a giant and your ears have gotten even bigger.

In the original Eng Dub of DBZ they censored the word HELL on the ogre's shirts to HFIL and claimed it stood for "Home For Infinite Losers"

HFIL is a reference, to the original dub (and the dub of dragonball GT) where they censored "HELL" whenever it was used and changed it to HFIL because they could easily change those letters. (E -> F and I -> L) It was a reference to that dub.

Personally I remember loving the Slug movie over the others... But it was probably thanks to the soundtrack they used for the dub. XD

The use of Stupify in the credits was also a reference to the original dub for Lord Slug having Stupify play when Goku goes into that false Super Saiyan/ Saiyan Rage form.

As others have mentioned, HFIL or Home For Infinite Losers is the US-censored name for Hell in the Dragonball Universe. The HFIL show TeamFourStar produces consists of short episodes (featuring self-made animation) that take place after the abridged series and follows the lives of some of the series' defeated villains in Hell.

The king Piccolo/Slug comparisons are so accurate like literally they both wish for their youth back to take over earth and Goku kills both of them by jumping through their chests. Piccolo can also grow like Slug so I don’t know why he doesn’t do that other then the writers forgot he could.
