Correct me if I am wrong but this has to be the first disney show where they just straight up duffed the big bad. There is no implied death like we banished him or anything. Luz just summons boiling rain and basically melts Belos.

One of my first thoughts after watching the finale (in the middle of me crying) is that there's so much fanfiction potential. Like, I'd LOVE to see people make comics or write stories by creating their own characters and having them live on the Boiling Isles. It would probably be a LOT of fun to write Headmaster Clawthorne and the others. I'd be down to read an (slice-of-life?) ongoing comic/story set on present-day Boiling Isles with brand new characters just living their lives!

It's definitely hard to compare the TOH and Amphibia endings for me, since while they have their similarities, the stories and the endings they create are very different. Seeing Ruff and Hman say they liked the TOH fight more while Boom and SeeOhKnee liked the Amphibia fight more, that basically sums up why I think realistically they're both incredibly fantastic. It's too close for me to think one is better than the other, per say. I loved this series so much, seeing it go was bittersweet, but they wrapped it up so well.

It’s never really confirmed if Rain and Ead got back together but if you look closely at the ending you can see that the two of them have switched earrings and that more then enough for me

Worth the wait! Thank you guys for reacting to this wonderful series! I hope at some point you will see She-ra and maybe even Kipo nd the Age of Wonderbeasts. I love animation and loved both those series as they both had great characters and wonderful plots.

Temporal

This show meant the world to me and many. It has some of the most positive and even (to some extent) realistic forms of representation. Many people might've seen themselves in cartoons/animated media for the first time in this show. This show helped me understand a lot about myself even over the last few years, loss of family members, being adopted, my sexual orientation, and how long I've suffered with a chronic illness like the metaphor of Eda's Curse. For that reason, I will never forgive Disney's executives for cutting this show's lifespan short, just to appease some ignorant people. Moments like at 53:58 with Willow's dads who're an interracial gay couple, or all of the Lumity moments, are just a few of the smallest reasons this show got shortened. The animators had to fight like hell for a few frames depicting healthy representation in media. Like, remember the gay cops in Gravity Falls? In the 2010s, Alex Hirsch had to fight for scenes of them even hugging or eluding to being in love to get the show a full 2 seasons, no explicit confessions or depictions of romantic same-sex love permitted. Dana Terrace went all out and animated and told everything in her story that she could, before the budget cuts. That's the unfortunate reality that we still live; completely authentic, healthy queer representation in shows like this still comes at the cost of a show's cancellation, and if you only dance around the subject, the show might run for longer, but then the characters who're supposed to be representative are seen as jokes or afterthoughts. That's happened with many of the strongest cartoons on CN and Disney in the last decade alone; the aforementioned Gravity Falls, Amphibia, Steven Universe, The Owl House, even Adventure Time only got to do so much with Marceline and PB. For crying out loud though, I don't care if they even recreate a soulless revival of this show in a few years just to milk the IP, cuz I feel it'd be an insult to Dana Terrace and her fellow artists for giving it the axe. Belos is not only a phenomenal character, but a perfect example that not every one who's hurt us deserves 2nd chances or forgiveness, and that sometimes it's okay to not risk getting hurt over and over, giving people said chances. I thank all of the people who worked tirelessly on this show and pushing to give us a conclusion to its story, and I wish everyone who worked on this show nothing but the best in their future projects and endeavors, and that everyone who watched this show and took something from it treasures those moments.

One show that I enjoyed while the Owl House was on hiatus was Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts! It's a post apocalyptic show where humans have sunk down to the bottom of the food chain and live underground, and a Kipo unexpectedly ends up on the surface and has to survive.

Another show I really liked (if you want a show with a darker plot) you should watch the Dragon Prince! I think it's still ongoing, the latest season just came out but it didn't finish the show. It's a war story between human kingdoms and magic realms, where the main theme is about the cycle of war/destruction. There's quite a few morally grey characters, kinda like Zuko where you can't tell if you want them to succeed or not when you first meet them. Also, parts of the show have animated sign language!! It's so cool

Owl House just holds such a special place in my heart. There's just something about it. I'm one of those people who will go through and re-watch your reactions to it as well as other people's reactions for the sake of kind of keeping the magic of the show alive in my life. I'd LOVE a prequal with Eda and Lilith as kids, Or a sequel where the main cast are in college together and learning Kings Glyphs. But Dana has already cleared out her stuff and left. And I think she's mentioned that she doesn't want to do any more children's cartoons... But maybe if someone else could pick it up as a darker more young adult type show? All we can do is hope. They did really line it up perfectly to have a continuation!

Also as an owl house, amphibia, and gravity falls fan. I HIGHLY recommend She-Ra. It doesn't get the hype it deserves imo. It has great pacing, action, and storytelling. And I believe it's getting a new season this year or next. So a lot of people are rewatching it or reacting to it right now.

In all honesty, I'd be totally down for a group re-watch of Gravity Falls with Boom. An excuse to get him to actually continue it and let y'all catch the things you missed the frst time through. Obviously, not spoiling anything for Boom along the way. Edit: Plus, it'd be a great perspective now that y'all seen the two predecessor shows.

Temporal

I implore anyone interested in Owl House merch to buy through indie artists on Redbubble or Etsy. There's a lot of great things on those sites, that are created with more love than anything I imagine Disney will try to push. I'm personally gonna avoid giving Disney so much as a penny, especially with this show.

Can't believe it's over. This was the series that made me subscribe to you guys and it's been such a fun journey. And now you guys are my favorite reactors. Really hoped you would do She-Ra next. Also I think it is safe to say that Raine and Eda got together at the end (Storyboard artist posted this on her instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq7D1kDOkZ3/). You can see Eda and Raine switched earrings at the end and maybe in the Demon Realm the custom is to exchange earrings instead of rings when getting engaged/married. And yes Vee shares a VA with Amethyst! Also that was the same in-between space Luz was in before in Yesterday's Lie.

As movie suggestion, you should watch Over The Moon! It's so good! But as for shows: She-ra, Star Vs. I don’t even know what to say. Yay gumball, yay kingsman, yay hunter got sleep and looks happier than ever. Love belos for how unforgivable of a villan he is. For sure going down as my favorite for a while. This final episode just looked beautiful and as soon as luz stepped in with her titan for the animation just hit the roof.

Not to create false hope, but Disney execs DID admit "they made a mistake" shortening the series after the huge Owl 🦉 House panel at NY Comic-Con 2022, and the GIANT view 🪟 numbers on Disney+, Hulu, and YouTube. Funny enough, after 3x1 aired, Dana said Disney execs said they were surprised by view counts and that they prob shouldn’t have cancelled it. Also, Disney own the rights to Owl House but they could for sure make a comic or graphic novel. Disney’s book publishing is a lot more lenient with the darker moments that the TV side and they’ve seen how big the fan base is now

AHH I didn't know y'all did the owl house as well! Are there reactions to the previous seasons as well? Gonna have to go digging. I really enjoyed this show and I'm both sad and frustrated that it's over. Like I loved this finale but it is so hard not to think of what could have been so much more and was cut short. And to echo others I seriously think y'all will like She-Ra. I saw that it did strongly in the polls, I do hope that'll be a future series with y'all!
