So there is a reason for why Goku, Turles and Bardock look the same, it's do to low-class saiyan genes is apparently the excuse used. We don't see much of this in any source material beside the three named, but according to Toriyama the majority of the saiyan grunt warriors all look exactly the same, and were considered very weak and expendable. It's partially why in canon that Bardock became such a huge figure in saiyan society because he broke free of the role and stigma of being a low-class saiyan, became a strong and respected warrior and earned his way to a position that made him equivalent to what a mid-class saiyan warrior would be.

One of my favorite voice actor fun facts: Santa in this is voiced by Kyle Hebert. Big-time Funimation VA, and voice of the narrator and Adult Gohan in the original series. He's also done a bunch of other things if you watch Funimation anime at all.

yeah so as to why goku and turles look so simmilar put it like this, genes are a bitch and apparently a lot of people more on the low end class of the saiyans looked like goku whereas high class looked more like vegeta or nappa either bald or with the naturally spiked hair

I love this series. I think you may have been thinking about something else from a future film when you brought up the Kaio Ken thing, it'll be obvious when you get there and it's not far off so I won't spoil. Also just an observation, this is the only scheduled anime series (if it even counts) on Nani no Anime.

Well Nappa did have hair before, but it fell off because of aging. Nappa was rather old by the time he appeared. Not the age where it kicks in for Saiyans almost all at once but pretty close.

I don't remember when it was, but they said they more or less have stopped reacting to anime because they seem to have fewer copyright claims on western cartoons than they were dealing with their anime stuff. (Side note we still get some One Piece stuff with Ruff)

It wasn’t copyright issues although that is one reason. Anime reactions have just kind of fell off. There’s an obscene amount of anime reactors and just not enough demand. For example, with spy x family’s second cour there was well over 60 different reactors doing it. So we’ve deviated. We will still do anime when it makes sense to do so. Demon Slayer or attack on Titan when it comes back. But if there’s no demand for an anime series we don’t see the point in doing em. Plus we take recommendations from the community mostly and we don’t really get any anime reactions due to the demand just being so low
