To answer your question about the series, Steven Universe itself has 5 seasons (according to Ionic_Rezz, Hulu only has 4 of them, so I recommend jumping ship to HBOMax at some point), then there's a full-length movie, and then there's an epilogue series called "Steven Universe Future" that's just shy of a season long.

I like how confident Steven is about wearing the skirt on stage he never comes across as embarrassed and no one laughs at him. It’s just nice when a lot of cross dressing in kids shows will be played off like a joke.

Your guys reaction to this making me enjoy this show 30 times more. I appreciate how much you guys notice and pick up on; because of that I'm learning and seeing new things I didn't notice on my first watchthrough. This show is really amazing. Glad I'm here watching along with the ride

It’s not bad it’s just a lot of shows will only have a man in a dress as the punchline which can give kids the idea that a man would only wear a dress as a joke or that feminine men are inherently something to laugh at. It’s still funny since it’s pretty unexpected that Steven would have dressed up and gotten on stage.

Oh we don’t, I haven’t bothered going through Steven comments for a while because of that. We’re just giving our thoughts and opinions about a character and the fanbase. Regardless of if we are ignoring them at all. They are clearly a big chunk of the fanbase and imo it deserves to be talked about. Especially when out of every show we do the Steven U fans are easily the most toxic. Boom has actually had to ban quite a few people because of them giving us death threats over our Pearl opinions

Great reaction, from the little, that I remember steven had crazy breaks in the season. There is a YouTuber that I believe explains it better. But basically, the issue was that you would get to a high point in the story - like Luffy is about to fight the main boss - and then there is a 1 to 6-month gap in the episodes. And when the next episode aired you would get a slice-of-life episode like Ronaldo or steven walking around the town.

Personally, I wasn't into media and the news when steven came out. I can see people definitely pushing back but I believe steven started out really great. Ultimately it's up to the parents to determine what their child can and cannot see. Once your like 14 then I think one can watch whatever they want - except rated R media, then they should get permission until they are old enough. The first half of steven did a good job at showing dynamic relationships, and although the gems are not like a poly couple, it helps to show that there can be families that don't have the traditional family structure. Steven is great but there were some episodes in season 5 that I felt they added some representation that wasn't well-established or introduced. The writing and story slowly and slightly dropped near the end which prevents me from gove this show a 10/10. But this is just my opinion, overall it is a good show, and I think better shows can be inspired by steven.

Steven is definitely a product of his environment. He's so confident in being who he is because he's surrounded by people (and gems) who love him unconditionally. The show ultimately is about truth and love... and it feels almost like taking a deep sootging breath to watch it. Thank you guys for reacting and saying exactly what you're thinking! So refreshing. 😌
