Hey folks, I feel bad having to write this but this wasn't initiated by me, and I spoke this over with the techs at Patreon to look for a solution. Some folks who were on the opening tiers here wanted the content that I had on higher tiers, so they would momentarily jump to a higher tier, get access to the content, then drop back down to a lower tier. There were some folks who were habitually doing this, maybe not aware that I was being shown every time they were doing it. They always made sure to be on the lowest tier just in time for the billing, if not shortly after jumpin up to the higher level.

I have since switched over to what Patreon has called Charge Up Front. Here is info from Patreon:

"Charge upfront is an option for monthly creators that allows them to charge their patrons immediately upon pledging. We offer this option because once a patron pledges to a creator, they immediately have access to all posts available to the tier they pledged to. This includes posts made prior to their membership. This feature is not available for creators that charge per creation."

"New Patrons will be charged on the day they become your patron, giving them access to all content shared with their reward tier. On the 1st of the following month, they will simply return to being charged monthly at the beginning of the month.  Existing patrons will be charged on the 1st of the month like usual. If they edit their membership, this won't trigger them to be charged, however, they will be charged their total membership amount on the 1st.  After your first month of charging patrons upfront, when a patron increases their membership, they'll immediately be charged the difference between their recent payment and new membership value."

My apologies if this made things confusing for anyone, but unfortunately some folks felt they had to try to rig the system in their favor, and that just isn't fair to everyone. Thank you all to the folks who have been continuing to support me financially and with positive words. Happy holidays and give each other lots of hugs. =)

No worries Paul, as for the asshats &@%#ing with your bread and butter, I hope they get slapped in the groin with a bear trap.

As the others have stated, you do not need to be sorry for protecting yourself from asshats. This is a common problem and most of the creators I sub to have gone to this model for the same damn reason.
