More Random OC lore: I’m developing a witch story. Witch story sets place in a modern day Seattle. However, this world has witches, which are those with magical abilities. Witches live alongside normal humans and everyone knows about them, so witches aren’t secret in this world. Actually, in this world a lot of witches are super popular like celebrities. You can’t randomly be born a witch, you have to have Witch blood to pass down magic. Overtime, many powerful witch families and covens developed. These covens run like magical mafias. They take on clients like freelancers, try to gather the most powerful witches in their ranks, and have insane loyalty to their coven leader. Covens are very competitive with each other and they constantly fight for clients, clout, territory, and new witch talent. Young Witches don’t go to college when they turn 18. They apply to powerful covens instead in hopes of learning from the best, getting a place to live/thrive, having protection from Witchhunters, and using the coven to help their careers. The more powerful the coven is, the more popular the witches in the coven are.

In my story, Zinc and Jasper are building their own coven from scratch. Jasper’s family kicked him out of his family coven, disowning him because of his shitty Witch skill. Zinc however has a very rare Witch skill so he was accepted to every single coven. However, Zinc can’t control his powers and has been kicked out of all the covens due to that. Failure after failure, Zinc was eventually blackballed from all the covens in Washington State. His power is too power and dangerous, so he’s a liability and not worth the risk.
