Hail Xanadoom!  I just want to take a moment to say I hope you enjoy your Easter Sunday and that the Easter Bunny brought everyone some nice eggs...though why eggs are associated with a rabbit is quite beyond my understanding.  I mean, does the Easter Bunny have an egg farm?  Or does he steal the eggs from unwitting farmers?  I very much doubt he buys the eggs, because the economics of that would be daunting.  It calls into question the economics of the whole Easter Bunny situation.  Same thing with Santa...does he pay the elves?  Or is it some kind of slave labor, or simply intimidation?  I don't know...these are mysteries indeed, but don't fret about them!  Leave the fretting to me, and have a wonderful Easter!

Okay so I actually know the answer to this. Easter happens to fall around the same time as Ostra the ancient celt holiday. Which involved foraging for eggs and viewed the rabbit as a fertility/rejuvenation symbol. When the Christians converted europe they merged the holidays together.

As for the elves economy? They are magical workers. They think they have a good union but they really don't.

The fertility festival. Eggs and rabbits being symbols of fertility.

I'm kinda worried about how dark the whole 'stealing eggs' and 'slave elves' is getting here....but you are the Mighty Overlord Doomcock bent on world domination. The whole evil thing is in the resume.....I think it's awesome!

Easter is a Spring holiday in celebration of Rebirth. Eggs and rabbits are symbols of birth and life since most of all life springs from an egg and rabbits procreate much life.

I was sitting with my nephew yesterday he was watching Teen Titans Go. The Easter Bunny is down right creepy on that show, but funny as hell. I laughed more than my nephew.
