Hail Xanadoom!  Monday at 2:00 pm Central is our Doomcock Roundtable and this time around I'd like us to be positive, and so the topic will be: Hidden Gems!  That is, things that you love that maybe most people don't know about, obscure things, cult things, things that meant a lot to you as a kid, things that mean a lot to you now!

If I don’t get a chance to make it, Bubblegum Crisis. It made it possible for Ghost in the Shell to exist. It was a female lead cyberpunk adventure. The original OVA is my favorite. The main character is named Priss and she is in a band called replicants. They did original songs for every episodes. There was a prequel series (A.D. Police files) about the police force, a sequel movie (Bubblegum Crash). Then there was a reboot series (Bubblegum Crisis 2040) that was longer and got more in-depth and it also had a prequel series about the police force (A.D. Police to protect and serve) and a sequel movie (Parasite Dolls). Today they would virtue signal and explicitly say things that could be inferred in the narrative. I love both of the series named Bubblegum crisis and their sequel movies and the original AD police files. i did not care for AD police to protect and serve. The reboot series has more humor and camp in it.
