Grrrr...between fucking Daylight Savings Time making me reel with exhaustion and spending the day catching up on all things Doomcockian (messages, mailings, and whatnot), Doomcock is feeling angry my friends...and thus I exhort you, as always, to stay angry right along with me!

To that end, I've made a little something that may help...a new t-shirt that you can put on whenever you're feeling your rage slipping...you can put this on and remember all the things to be pissed about...STD, Star Wars, Jar Jar Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy, Rian Johnson, remakes, reboots, and retools!

I'm also going to make it a poster, put it on other things...anyway, I thought I'd give you guys a look, but don't expect anyone to buy anything...all of you are supporting my efforts very generously as it is!

So...as an update, I'm watching Stargate SG-1 right now, and am also beginning Happy! and Counterpart so as to review them, coming as they are with very high recommendations from People I Respect (you know who you are)!  I should be posting more stuff in the next few days, but I've been trying to get caught up with all the posts from new subscribers, and from all of you...remember, if anything slips through the cracks, please let me know and I'll be sure to respond!

More soon...running as fast as I can to bring you more goodies, but in the meantime...STAY ANGRY!!!!

Love the magma orange gradient background. The actual t-shirt is totally in focus, just click the zazzle link. This picture is merely shown to simulate what it would look like after drinking away the agony of a couple of STD episodes. In the maelstrom of mediocrity we find our culture trapped within, staying angry is as easy as hiding a fart in a windstorm.

To follow up on our PM exchange--NO, I would never recommend anyone to watch the Total Recall reboot! Its attempts at cleverness in expressing a future of dubious truthfulness--a future all too much like our present media maelstrom--utterly pale next to Verhoeven's eye-opening excellence. I am so angry at that hackjob and its pedestrian attempts at acknowledging but not respecting the original...it's high time that I get my ass to Mars again, tonight! (And I got the t-shirt, natch. Should look snappy in crimson!)

Oh have you never seen SG1 before? One of my favorite sci-fi series of all time.

I figured that must be the case, given how awful 98% of reboots are, but I thought I'd check just in case you thought there was merit in it...I had skipped it without a glance, naturally! As for the original, oh yes...a classic, no doubt! (And I guess that means you liked the t-shirt! Good...I liked it, but a designer can never really tell about his own work, so thanks for the feedback my friend!)

Yeah, I blew it up from a screen grab...I'll edit it and put a better pic on there, I was just rushed...it's definitely in focus! Glad you like it Travel Zealot (and I in turn liked your retcon of the focus problem...made me chuckle knowingly, as I have definitely been there after watching these last two episodes...so gawd awful...) "Maelstrom of mediocrity"...well said. Indeed, it's become so pervasive that people now are actually PROUD to be stupid and mediocre! How long, I wonder, before Madame Guillotine takes a bow in the village square once again...?
