Hi everyone!

Have been quiet lately. I'll be releasing a new chapter of Making Amends soon, as well as working more on other chapters, but primarily Illegal Immigrant.

Additionally: games.

I haven't shared much at all lately regarding that, particularly because I think I'll be switching engines. Primarily I've used GameMaker 2, but there have been limitations as well as less than ideal workflow for certain processes/things that I've been trying to do.

A text-based game I've been teasing has run into limitations given how text is handled in the engine, and at least in the ways I've tried to handle it with formatting, it's become an ugly mess that's getting harder to work with. In addition to this, I think I've found an alternative with more options and ability to do other things.

I've decided to slowly start integrating myself into Godot, as I've really liked some of the things that I've seen from 4.0's release earlier last year. My current plan is to rebuild my existing projects in this new engine, as well as use it as an opportunity to handle some things differently.

Cow Clicker is something I've left aside for a while now, as it's fundamentals I think aren't what I want them to be. I've kicked the can down the road, claiming to add more interesting features later on, but if it's not interesting from the get-go, I think that's an issue I need to address.

I'd like to rebuild Cow Clicker from the ground up in Godot with some fundamental changes, as I'm considering rolling back/scrapping the units system and putting more focus on collecting Cow girls, upping their visual variation, and so on. A requested feature that is intimidating, but I think definitely needed is a breast size system, or different chest sizes. It'd be nice to have slightly different body types as well, but of course this will affect outfits, which I haven't determined how to handle yet.

For those of you who have played Cow Clicker, please share what your impressions were, good and bad.

Regarding Dungeon Delver, I'd like to take a similar approach with rebuilding and restructuring, doubly to the text adventure game.

I'll do my best to share updates as there's more substance to this, but that's all for now. Please stay tuned for a story release!

Good to see you are back. Hope you are settling in. Moving can be more distracting then you planned, but good to hear from you again.

Thanks for the update. As for Cow Clicker, I did play it for a bit, though it's been a while. I like the visuals and the bit of customization of the cow girl that was in there, and I think it should keep the variety in some way, even if not in its current form. On the gameplay side it seems a solid base for a clicker game, but it lacks something to make it unique other than the limited storage, which on it's own doesn't add much to the experience. I had fun with the game, but I've never had a reason to come back to it after I was done playing.

Good to hear that you are well and enjoying a new country. Definitely looking forward to more chapters of Illegal Immigrant, its been around six weeks since Dawn arrived at the orphanage leaving your readers to wonder if she is still stuck there experiencing the realities of a life as a toddler, escaped and still trying to get back to the portal or has been adopted by a no nonsense amazon as their forever baby.

Thank you for this feedback! I completely understand your impressions. As far as rebuilding the game goes, currently I haven't spent any time on the idle/game aspects, and am solely focusing right now on the cow girl system and restoring/reworking customization and randomization. I want to put some more emphasis on that aspect and expand from there. As far as the limited capacity system goes, I think I'll be scrapping its current form and working it into something a bit more entertaining with relation to the cow girls. Thank you again for the honest review!

Apologies for the wait! I know it's been a while, but unfortunately I've been busy between real life obligations, other projects, and other stories! I hope to deliver on all these things soon!

That is completely understandable, we need you to put you own wellbeing first, Dawn’s will fall into place in due course. Thankyou and take care of your self with all these competing priorities on your time.
