In all honesty, this has been a hectic month, so while a lot was accomplished on the back end of things, that doesn't quite do justice what I was hoping for this update to be. This is primarily an update for controls.

No fancy system for in-game patch notes yet, so I'll list them here:

Intuitive Controls

  • Tweaked default monster animation
  • Looks similar, but is part of a new system that makes it easy for future expandability
  • Solid menu backgrounds
  • Temporary solution so text is easier to read
  • Tweaked back-end of battle system for expandability
  • Room backgrounds now consistent with rooms
  • Added keyboard controls to battle
  • Cycle through monsters using 1-3 keyboard keys (Or mouse)
  • Cycle through battle actions using A-D keys
  • Activate battle actions via Left-Mouse or spacebar
  • Intuitive keyboard controls

BUG FIXES

  • Able to finish battle on 0 HP should no longer be possible

I'm now playing with animation tools in the software. Prior to this I've been making it work through math and code which gets the job done, but is far more limited compared to some of the things that I now know I can accomplish. This means dedicated animations for monsters that can be of any length, which I've laid the groundwork for in playing nicely with a battle AI that won't just be 1 attack over and over.

No clothes yet, but the included image is a brief image of a diaper, just so ya know they exist. May be tweaking the character's face now that I've had some time away from it, we shall see. Sorry for there not being a whole lot to show, but I hope to have some better progress to showcase soon.

Thank you! And yes, I can at least speak for the battle controls. Not a whole lot, but I hope to nail down the essentials before expanding too much into other spheres.
