After leaving Charles's Agency, Coulson immediately returned to the Triskelion with Natasha, Barton, and the personnel of the special task force.

Barton looked at the two and asked curiously, "How did your conversation go?"

Driving, Coulson replied, "We obtained quite a bit of information that needs to be cross-checked at the headquarters."

"Natasha, do you have any progress or discoveries on your end?"

After a moment of contemplation, Natasha spoke, "Based on my observations, the information he provided seems to be genuine. Moreover, if he wanted to continue obtaining energy blocks, he shouldn't have lied during the initial commission task."

"After all, the questions we consulted weren't particularly sensitive pieces of information."

"Furthermore, I will try to establish a friendly relationship with him to see if there will be some progress."

Listening to their conversation, Barton placed his longbow in front of him and asked somewhat strangely, "What exactly happened inside? From what I hear, you seem to have cooperated, haven't you?"

Barton's guess was correct. Coulson did indeed collaborate with Charles's agency, specifically for the intelligence commission task.

As for the deceased Barbara Morse, she had become less important in the face of acquiring information.

As a special agent, Coulson knew better about maximizing benefits. They needed to obtain more information from the other party, develop a comprehensive plan, evaluate gains and losses, and only then would they think about Barbara Morse.

By that time, Barbara's death would only be considered a reason for starting a war, nothing more than that.

Before that, Barbara's situation had to be put aside.

After all, the number of undercover spies sacrificed by them every year was uncountable. Was the death of every undercover spy a reason for launching an all-out attack?

Obviously, that was not possible.

"Barton, what specifically happened, I will report to the director when we return to the headquarters later. You will find out then, so we don't have to repeat ourselves."

Upon hearing Coulson's words about reporting to the director later, Barton knew that things might be developing in a way he least wanted.

Barton wiped his longbow expressionlessly, his voice devoid of any emotion.

"Understood!"

Natasha glanced at Barton next to her, sensing that he wasn't in high spirits, but she didn't say much.

...

On the other side-

Inside Charles's agency-

Upon seeing Coulson and the others leave, Charles's consciousness entered the system space.

Opening the Task Assembly Hall, he found that the three B-level tasks that had just been submitted were now all marked as completed.

He clicked to claim the rewards.

Ding! Task completed, rewards received:

2000 reputation points, 200,000 copper coins, and a normal treasure chest.

2000 reputation points, 200,000 copper coins, and a normal treasure chest.

2000 reputation points, 200,000 copper coins, and a normal treasure chest.

Receiving 6000 reputation points made Charles very satisfied. He immediately exited the system space and looked at the energy blocks on the table. He wanted to try whether these things could be recharged and what the value of an energy block was.

Charles casually picked up an energy block and immediately heard the system's prompt sound.

Ding! New energy found. Would you like to recharge?

Recharge!

Ding! Recharge successful, received 180+180 gold coins!

Upon hearing 180+180, Charles immediately entered the system space to check and found out that it was the double recharge reward of 180 gold coins.

Existing the system space once again, Charles did not hesitate and immediately recharged all the energy blocks.

Ding! Recharge successful, received 2520 gold coins!

At this point, all the energy blocks on the table had disappeared, and Charles's coins had increased to 2944, enough for a ten-consecutive recruitment.

Charles didn't perform the ten-consecutive recruitment in the lobby but planned to do it in his room.

Just as Charles was about to leave, Umino Iruka approached respectfully and stood in front of Charles. He said, "Lord Charles, all the agents outside have retreated."

"None left at all?"

After pondering for a moment, Iruka said, "According to my investigation, there were hardly any remaining, unless they used some technological means for surveillance."

"Alright, I understand."

"Tell everyone to do what they need to do. There's no need to stay here. We have temporarily reached a truce with the other party."

A temporary truce? Iruka made a note of this and said, "Understood, Lord Charles!"

Then Iruka retreated to inform others to stand down.

After instructing Iruka, Charles also left the rest area and headed to his room.

...

Meanwhile, just as Coulson returned to the Triskelion, he was about to take the elevator upstairs when he ran into Brock Rumlow coming out of the elevator.

Both sides just nodded to each other and didn't engage in conversation.

Apparently, Coulson had no idea that his destination at the moment was the Charles's agency he had just visited.

Coulson's trio soon arrived outside Nick Fury's office by the elevator.

Knock, knock, knock.

"Come in!"

Coulson entered Nick Fury's office with Barton and Natasha.

"What information did you all obtain?"

Coulson immediately recounted all the information he had obtained, letting Barton and Nick Fury know what information the energy blocks had been exchanged for.

"Director, based on this intelligence and the information transmitted earlier, it can be basically concluded that the ninjas of Konoha Village are different from the Japanese ninjas we knew before."

"Whether it's from the Hand or the Chaste, though they are also commonly referred to as ninjas, they are not the same."

“But the ninjas currently appearing around Charles Doyle are mostly of Asian appearance. Based on the information disclosed by the other party, I speculate that they may have established the village during World War I or World War II."

"Of course, I don't rule out earlier times, but I suspect that their location is not on Japan. After all, we have thoroughly surveyed those areas, and we wouldn't be unaware of the existence of such a group."

"However, I still suggest checking the information from that period there to see if we can find any clues. After all, the only place known to use that title is there."
