September's Plot Bunnies Poll - And What The Heck's Been Going On (Patreon)

So.

As most of you may be aware of, my page was suspended due to violating Patreon’s Community Safety Guidelines last week. I tried to send a mass message to inform you all about the whole thing, but I was cut off from the messaging system, and it looks like only some of you got an email notification with the whole rambling thing.

To sum it up, somebody reported the latest chapter of A Pure Knight’s Natural Enemy and the latest All Right! Fine! I Will Take You! and Patreon demanded I do something about those chapters and take down all offensive content on my page. I, instead of recognizing that I was dealing with a copy-paste generic message and immediately taking the two chapters down like a smart person, argued that one of those chapters didn’t even have sex and that Patreon’s rules state they would allow content such as Lolita.

I was then informed that any kind of content involving minors was forbidden on NSFW pages, as that makes them sexualized through context, and that a sexualized minor is automatically considered an endorsement of sexual violence. So I can’t write SFW stories on my page involving minors, can’t write NSFW stories about a married couple with children, etc.

To clarify: I can’t do so officially.

For the time being, I’ve stuck a disclaimer on all of my current fanfics about how absolutely everyone in them is, due to AU shenanigans, an adult. I’ll be reposting the lost chapters today with a note explaining that the characters involved are, indeed, adults, and I’ll keep writing the ongoing stories until they end.

I’ll likely start cross-posting on SubscribeStar, and I’ll be making an announcement about it when I do so that there’ll be another page up in case this goes southward faster next time around. Anyway, this was the main reason why I was too stressed out to write more than the FMA one-shot last week (16k words, so not thatbad an output, just terrible for my usual expectations). I really struggled to get words on the page, got demotivated to worrying degrees, and generally became more of a wreck of a human being than I usually am.

I can only apologize for how badly I managed the whole situation. It’s now the end of the month, which means I don’t have much time to maneuver, but I can at least guarantee that the next A Pure Knight’s Natural Enemy will come out before August ends. Then, the following two priorities are Wake-up Call and All Right! Fine! I Will Take You!

On the brighter side of things? Another of my sources of stress is mostly managed, as my father is responding to radiotherapy and has stopped losing lung function. He’s still in poor shape, as regaining said function is just not an option, but at least he’s projected to survive longer than this year. I also caught up to almost all the accumulated (though not ongoing) commissions, so you can feel free to vote for anything on today’s poll. The only one I’m still behind in is Wordsworth, and I think that means we’ll be going back to weekly chapters for that story until it ends, so there’s also that to look forward to (in case, you know, that is something that you would look forward to).
