Animation #75

[Worklog]

Ya know I am not really that confident on working with outdoor scenes but I think I did good with the lighting. At least I think I did good with it. Outdoor scenes had always been tricky - the scene building part. I don't wanna spend way too much time just putting individual objects into parts of the scene then modifying their material 'cause that'd probably take way too long.

I am happy that there are great resources out there provided by awesome people giving at least feature-complete sections or map objects that I can work with. Without them, we'd probably take 2 times longer just to complete one of our releases.

The scene is gonna look weird at some angles, of course, we only do add objects/map objects that the POV camera would see. Saves a lot on both time and studio performance.

Time. We had to throw some of that away two days into pre-production 'cause there was a model update release for Firefly - unfortunate 'cause we did do a lot of tweaking to the older one (slider changes for the face and body) but it's alright we just embraced the new one with a lot less changes. It's not that we didn't like the look of the original model but I felt we could've added more like we usually do. After all, we're changing to the shader KKUTS and we like changing a few character MaterialEditor things a bit on Photoshop but eh it turned out alright.

We have a scene idea already for our next character, Silver Wolf, and here's hoping we could pull off the lighting again. Indoor setting this time.

Don't forget to check our schedule on our previous post to be up to date with release dates and that we are taking a small birthday holiday some time in August.

See ya next release. o/
