One of my favorite things about BTS and a few other artists who manage to do this, but BTS have had this way- Led by Namjoon and Yoongi's writing which in turn has the other five writing this way too a lot- but coming up with ways to be vague enough to let others interpret their songs how the listener wants, but also not being so vague that it's pointless or just random words strung together. Namjoon has talked about it before, and I love that he brought it up in a few of this album review lives. He said he knows that people will interpret the songs in their own ways, but that's the point of art. He admitted at first, back when he was young and just writing- he thought he had to have a solid point and stay in that one direction, be clear and detailed so there's no room for interpretations that might not fit. But he'd learned that he needed to find a balance between allowing the listener to interpret and also being clear on certain things and precise on certain things. That way things won't be misinterpreted to much. They always seem to find that balance when writing and that's a very good thing. About the netizen comments and how it might be true to some extent that being a celebrity will come with hate you sign up for that when you become a 'famous' person- I think this way of thinking is a sad excuse, that is just my opinion of it. Yes, a celebrity will be judged, it's human nature to judge others, some judge others too quickly though or judge with an idea of what they think is true already in their minds. People like that just want to be mad at someone other than themselves for their own misfortunes, and the things they lack either in their lives or personality/physically. I don't think it's right for anyone to talk as much shit as they do about people- specifically celebrities, just because they don't like them for whatever reason. I'm not a fan of some people, actor or musician wise, and I would never go to the extremes to talk shit and say some over-the-top shit like some of these internet dwellers do. A lot of bad shit has happened in the world of Kpop. Recent events.... past events. Even those who are not fans of those people, it still hits negatively and it's something that should be brought up more. There's a mix of feelings here right now on the topic, you have some getting angry, saying this is why there should not be anonymity online, people need to be held accountable for what they say. Then there's those who are just shrouded in sadness right now. I don't want to talk about it too much, so I'll leave it there for now. I would like to point out that again, BTS is willing to talk about things that need to be talked about. Things that need to be said, that many sweep under the rug so to speak. Not many people/groups do that, granted, most don't have the luxury of writing their own lyrics to be able to do that, but even the ones who do... won't for fear of what the public reaction might be. Where as BTS knows ARMY will understand why it had to be said, and ARMY will stand beside them and support what they say. I do wish more of these groups had the freedom to write lyrics and make music with such substance. True, it doesn't need to be heavy and deep talk all the time- But on a personal level, I prefer the songs with substance. Thanks for the drop, as always. 💜💜💜💜
