Omg I’m so glad y’all reacted to their debut song. It kind of shows how they started vs how it’s going lol after reacting to Bleesed-Cursed. And I agree with y’all the production of this song is 🔥🔥 the beat drops go crazy. Also the song is basically supposed to be questioning their success on whether or not it’s Given or Taken etc. Someone will probably explain it better than me. Anyways I love the feedback and the reaction 💙

I 100% agree with what Nick said, they definitely have a sound that not many others have. Describing it as part of the past but also being futuristic is exactly what I was thinking! I truly love their sound. Definitely recommend some of their B-Sides! They have a whole different feel to them!

Gladeez

It’s so crazy that THIS was their debut, like absolutely insane, I swear hit man bang got the magic touch when it comes to making groups

2022-02-06 18:04:41 Yes, yes you did watch them out of order lol. But It's okay I think since we're still only getting breadcrumbs on their storyline. Yes, they are supposed to be Vampires, hence all the playing with time. Now, there is another piece to their story that has been teased but not fully revealed- This piece was teased in the Drunk-Dazed MV, which I do recommend watching. As for the tower, there are theories, but we really don't have a lot to go on for right now to be able to make a more coherent theory. 4th Gen has more all arounder groups than previous generations, yes. I will agree to Jerrick that Niki does stand out, but to me... all 7 members of ENHYPEN stand out in various ways. I think it takes some people time to get to know certain 4th gens. I listen to every group I can but for me personally... only a handful of 3rd and 4th Gen groups hit for me, and Half of them are Under HYBE Labels. lol. Most 4th gen groups have behind the scenes kind of shows now. TXT has To Do, ENHYPEN has ENHYPEN & Hi. I do recommend checking those out for more personality, also watching ENHYPEN be formed on I-Land gives you a good dose of their personalities as well. Other groups have these kinds of shows too, and same thing applies. Usually, these kinds of shows give us a look at them and their personalities. Of course, not everyone may stand out. In the end it all comes down to personal preference. Those that vibe more with you will stand out. Thanks for the great content. Stay safe. 💜

Ahhh Yes more Enhypen. I’ve been following them ever since their Survival show and so far they’ve been one of the 4th Gen groups who have impressed me a lot with their music, they have this different sound from a lot of 4th Gen groups and I love it sm. I’m glad hall checked out their debut song, the sound was something different and refreshing as well as the concept.

I'm like Lo, I like 4th gen groups but 3rd gen just hits diff

Anonymous

You guys argued a lot in this drop 😂 I feel the same way as Lo, I see what he means. 3rd gen groups hit harder to me, I feel like they're something else, groups like BTS, BP, EXO, GOT7.. but that's just me, maybe that's bc they are from my generation lol. I agree that it's probably subjective, not to mention some of these groups are still pretty new, they will grow. 4th gen has definitely more all-rounders, I guess they get better training now. I like Enhypen though. Thanks ❤️

Lala woods

I agree to what Lo said to some degree. The only 4th gen group that I feel has that star power or stage presence that’s very captivating is stray kids or Ateez but I know Enhypen will get there it’s not an overnight situation it takes time so I don’t think it’s fair to compare the 4th gens to 3rd gens specially compare them to BTS cuz they are a league on their own

Lala woods

I know i was cracking the whole time with their reaction over in YT and felt a lil bad for Nick trying to calm down Keith and Lo 😭😂

Anonymous

Great reaction guys and definitely agree with Lo I like some 4 generation like TXT but preferably the 3rd generation hit different for me with their music even some 2nd generation I looked into before hit right.

RDM46

Yeah everyone gonna have their own preference 🙏🏽

RDM46

I think TXT up there with stray kids and Ateez… Enhypen and The Boyz are fire too lol

The order to watch them is: Given-Taken; Drunk-Dazed; Tamed-Dashed; Blessed-Cursed. Their b-sides also tend to connect to the storyline so if you want to I would say watch Let Me In after Given-Taken and then watch Fever after Drunk-Dazed. Also, the Japanese mv for Given-Taken also gives a bit of insight. For the most part each comeback is sort of a continuation of the storyline in their progression as vampires, but also in their careers. (ex. Given-Taken was meant to represent how they debuted after being on a competition show, so they wonder if they were really given the opportunity or did they take it. Drunk-Dazed was meant to represent the stage of becoming an idol, where they still aren't really sure of what path they are taking and everything seems as if it's going by in a haze. Tamed-Dashed represents the dilemma of which path they choose to take between the conflict of their desires and contradictions. Blessed-Cursed represents that stage of being an idol where they feel as if what they were given was a blessing, but may truly be something cursed. And so on as they continue to release albums, but that's the gist of it. )

Lala woods

Yea they’re good too but idk how to explain it. For example this year basically no 3rd gen groups attended MAMA only 3rd gen was NCT so it felt like something was off in every performance tbh and the only performance where I felt like wow that was impressive was stray kids and NCT the rest was just ok it didn’t feel like they owned the stage

RDM46

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAV COMMENTS IN A WHILE.. YOU EXPLAINED THE HELL OUTTA THAT LOL...

Anonymous

Right, I also thought something was off during the last MAMA.

Jojo2503

Hey You should also check out their 3rd title track Drunk Dazed. That's really really good

Lola

The Boyz is technically 3third gen since they debuted in 2017 but lot of kpop fans think there 4th gen because they didn’t get lot of attention till few years after there debut. I remember Korean media outlets saying 4th gen started when txt and Itzy debuted in 2019 since that’s when bigger kpop companies started debuting new groups.

sam

but aren't gidle and stray kids also 4th gen? they debuted in 2018 tho

Lola

I always thought of them as some of the last groups of third gen

sam

ohhh well i guess some people do think 4th gen started in 2019

Lady G

nah I definitely think it started 2017 because the 2017 groups just dont fit with the 3rd gen, they fit more with the 4th gen if you know what I mean.
