Gladeez

Stigma live.. plz I’m begging 🏃🏽‍♀️💨

kimberly enriquez

Thanks for the reaction :), and just to put it out their this doesn't have to do with anything personal to Taehyung, that's misinformation. The short film is sort of like an MV, but not. And it is part of the BU timeline, their are other short films for the rest of the guys for their solo songs on the wings album. The BU doesn't start from Wings , but technically from "I Need U", but it intertwines from the very beginning of their music journey. It's really complicated haha

Brittany Mills

His lyrics to this song and Yoongis solo song on Wings hit me every time!

Anonymous

Yeah the wings short films all connect with each other as well as connecting with the storyline starting from “I Need U” probably why you were confused.

RDM46

Ohh nah we get that. We stated it in the video lol.. We know the whole TL for the BU. We just wanted to get more insight on the track lol.. From what we read we weren’t too far off

RDM46

We weren’t really confused. More so wondering if we were reading into things too hard lol

Erica Phifer

LOL that is because we love you guys! #Realfamily

Anonymous

Y'all were right, it is the BU. It easier to understand the short films when you watch them in order as they tie in together. I don't know if you have the list of the songs, but it goes I need u - run - prologue - young forever - short films(wings)- highlight reels- Map of the soul: bts universe story. Y'all are going to love it

Happy V day 💜💜 Wings album hits different.. the live performances during the Wings tour are 🔥

RDM46

Yeah I got the list from y'all lol... So far we loving the BU

dulseokbangtan

It's very hard for me to get into the BU cause I'm a crybaby and these niggas be hitting you in the feelings. I can't do it 😭 great videos guys. Happy Birthday V, next up is Hobi in Feb.💜💜 HAPPY NEW YEAR RD46!💜✨

Tyra Pugh

You are correct it is a direct tie to the BU! I encourage you to watch INU the extended/adult rated(?) version and Run as well. The scene of “miming” being beaten, and even the arrest tie directly to those two MVs and will make all of it make 100% more sense. I also encourage you through your BU journey to conclude your own idea of what’s happening before looking/reading any theories because BigHit/HYBE has not confirmed nor denied any of them aside from what was expanded upon in the Webtoon(?) and their game! So literally any interpretation of what’s actually happening and all the little easter eggs aside from literally what they show you, is up to you to interpret, but the theories WHOO! (Honorable mention Namjoon’s shoft film is also a direct tie to Tae’s, which is also depicted in the afformentioned videos)

ARMYnotArmy

You guys got me feeling special sheesh. Now I'm making long ass posts... I would say I'm sorry, but that would be a lie and you know it lol. So, First things first- This song is not written by only Tae, and Tae also isn't the primary writer. He wrote a good chunk for it and worked with Bang Si-Hyuk (aka 'Hitman' Bang when he's in writer/producer mode) who is the primary writer for this. Joining them in writing this song was Philtre, and slow rabbit. And Philtre produced this song. This song is heavy... let me reiterate- HEAVY into the BU. That was the main point of this song, that's what this song is about. To help Tae write for this, Bang told him to get in touch with his inner pain. So Tae did. Now, Tae has never mentioned what his personal pain was that he thought of when he was writing for this- He still has never mentioned it. Many people have said he wrote it because of one reason or another, or that it's personal to him. They're not wrong, it's personal to him- so personal he's never shared what it was lol. Rumors continue and some even claim Tae was abused... I would like to squash those rumors, but like I said before on another comment- it's the internet, it's like playing telephone with 200million people. lines are going to get crossed. Not everyone researches and many people have claimed one thing or another- But the simple fact of all this is- Tae has never said. He himself has not said. Only that this song is about a character(his character) who's seen some shit, gone through some shit, and is still in some shit. Also, Tae has a brother and a sister who are younger than him, so I think he could get into the mindset of his character easier because of it. I love hearing everyone's interpretation of songs like this, it's just great and interesting. Also- Lo, you keep complimenting me and I'm going to have to make you my Redemption 46 Bias. Gotta get me a Lo T-shirt and a light stick lol. All of you guys are amazing, and I adore the other redeemers as well who always provide information and views on things. I love reading and hearing everyone's post. I'm going to once again recommend Doolsetbangtan for your lyric translation needs. lol. 💜💜💜

Just like ly: answer, wings is a concept album so there is a story being told throughout the songs. The story fits into the BU and if you watch the short films they look like continuations from i need u era.

What Lo said. The only thing we know is what Tae himself has said. Which is, "Someone was hurt because of something I did." We can all relate in some way I think. Tae is someone who is very close to his family. Moving away to join BigHit at a young age could not have been easy. He probably felt guilt or shame for leaving his younger siblings behind and rarely seeing them. "Who am I to tell you what to do" when he hardly sees them...It's a very sad song regardless of what the meaning is. I hope people can find comfort from it.

Omg this entire album is a masterpiece of reflection on the torments of youth, temptation and the loss of innocence. It is a philosophical essay. I don't know if you realize that each song could be the subject of a fully elaborated movie where everything has been thought out: the context, the complexity of the characters with their strengths and vulnerabilities, the reflection and the existential questioning leaving the listener and the viewer in a multi-directional vision of the subject. As for Stigma, the courage to tackle such a subject (abusive parenting) is so enormous. It seems to me that I have never seen a singer approach this subject with so much vulnerability and guilt (there was Suzanne Vega with the song "Luka" in the 80s but from an external point of view); even in the movies this subject is often treated from a victim perspective... And we often forget that these are unfortunately very frequent situations, these siblings helpless in front of abusive parents and how many brothers could not protect their sisters... And I thank BTS for having approached these subjects with such seriousness, respect, realism and research... I have never seen anything like it. In short according to several sources either official or respected, "Stigma" written and composed by V, Hitman bang, Philtre and Slow Rabbit, and due to the music video depicting a father abusing BTS member V and his sister, these lyrics are most likely about the guilt and pain that comes with being abused by parents. Specifically, the song references the guilt the singer feels that his sister is seemingly being abused in his place, or that he is seeing abuse happening and is powerless to stop it.

laura

he has such a wide range its crazyyyyyy

If I can make a suggestion..... if you already watched a video that's part of the BU, (for instance, "Blood , Sweat, & Tears", "Fake Love") can u plz re-react to it with the new concept & mindset in mind? Even if it's just posted on patreon, we would re watch it again for your new insights & interpretations

You all should really watch all The Wings Short Films at the same time. You might not understand the meaning behind them because I sure as hell didn't but XCeleste has a very good explanation for them.

Anonymous

Trust ne. Wings is an album you have to taste as a whole, make an album review and get lost in one of bts mastsrpiece
