Happy V Day !!! I don't Know if that's true but He wrote it after his grandma's death (May She Rest In Peace) . I always remember my lost ones while listening to it . One of the most beautiful song I've ever heard 💜

RDM46

Yeah the song is so sad and beautiful at the same time

Logede

It’s Jimin from AOA father that died in 2020, not Jimin from BTS.

Ik I wasn’t tripping … I just saw something about his dad owning a pub in Busan

Logede

His dad does own a cafe in Busan Lo, and no worries. It’s confusing cause there are a lot of artists named Jimin in South Korea. I know of 2 others of the top of my head right now so I understand the mixup. Great reaction 👍🏾

Guadalupe Hernandez

I don't know if you guys figured it out yet but Jimins dad has not passed away

Cynthia Newman

Tysvm for the reaction. I deleted my previous comment cause I realized others already informed you. Great insight & ALL of y'all were "The Teachers" today.

Lol you know we’re here to learn and talk… I enjoy all the knowledge y’all give us.. y’all keep it real and y’all respectful 🙏🏽💜💜

Taehyung's grandparents were like parents to him. He heard the news about his grandmother when they were in Philippines. He delivered such a beautiful and hearbreaking speech about her during a concert, I believe it was at the 3rd Muster. His grandfather passed away during Bon Voyage season 3 so he wasn't present in the first episodes. In one episode he tried to hide from the cameras and broke down in tears.

Oh, I thought it was because he was shooting for "Hawang"! I learn something new everyday

Despite, some fans thinking this was a song V wrote to his grandmother- this was never confirmed. What V DID confirm was that he was inspired by a proposal scene in the movie 'About Time'. It touched him and inspired him to write this song. This song was inspired by that movie, by that scene. So, while yes, V was raised by his Grandmother and Grandfather- This song is not confirmed to be a connection to either of them. As others have said- Jimin's dad did not pass away. He used to own a cafe' but it was closed for most of this year- I don't know if he's re-opened it back up though. V primarily made this song with help from RM, Adora, and Hiss noise. So essentially- The dream team of ballads. Adora and Hiss noise are great with anything though to be honest. Tae made this song connect to scenery- another song I noticed you guys reacted to and put up. These songs are from the 'Vante' side of him- his artistic side. That's how I viewed both these songs. Beautiful, captivating, and touching. His soft and silky deep voice adds to the emotions of this song. I love that he leaves songs like this open, most of BTS do. They don't want to tell the listener fully what it's about. So if you view this as missing someone, you're right, if that's how you feel, you're correct. If you think this is a love song, you're right. There's no wrong answer- like looking at fine art and seeing something that only you see or feeling something, you feel. There's no such thing as a wrong interpretation. Thanks for this lovely song on day 2 of Tae-day. 💜💜💜
