Jimin was the last member who joined to BTS, but V was a surprise member that’s why they didn’t show him at the beginning

Anonymous

OMG, I didn’t expect y’all to drop so much bts content today lol but I really really appreciate it. The reaction was amazing

Kenzie

I love this series so much it’s so well made!! Be prepared guys, this is 18 episodes and ongoing🤣

Lala woods

Hey Nick loved the reaction but is there a way for you to show us the subtitle as well. I also want to know what they’re saying I was completely lost when the members were talking.

ARMYnotArmy

I'm so glad I joined last night to be able to see your reaction to this today. What I love most about this episode that also a lot of people seem to miss is the comparison from what typical kpop trainees who go through a structured training program go through and what BigHit had BTS do since BigHit didn't have an actual trainee program. BigHit always kind of winged it when it came to their groups prior to BTS, and they lost a lot of money on a group that debuted just a year prior so they had very limited funds. You'll see more of this comparison in the series, I think you guys picked up on it. Time to go binge watch more of what you guys got here. 💜

I wish asians get more representation in the western medias and the mainstream entertainement industry. If only people knew more about the asian culture, they would get less prejudice. BTS still faces a lot of prejudice and racism, but it's kind of historic to see the influence they have now in the world as koreans and non-english speakers. They redefine the asian stereotypes and open the door for more asians to be represented in the future. So great to follow you guys on this Rise of Bangtan journey! Can't wait for next ep :)

RDM46

AGREED IRINA. WE WILL DO OUR PART IN TRYING TO SPREAD KNOWLEDGE AND STOP IGNORANCE. CAN'T WAIT FOR THESE NEXT EPISODES

keiran

Wow you guys really exposing how little i know Korean like that huh 🤣 I hope it’s no bother to ask if you could add the subtitles next time? my non multi-bilingual-brain would appreciate it haha Thank you for the genuine interest and time you put into the content you give us. I’m so stoked to continue this series with you guys!! 💜

I’m curious, are you guys interested in African cultures at all? Many people have been into rediscovering their roots so I’m wondering if that’s something you guys are interested in. It’s okay if you aren’t but as an African I will say we have a LOT of emerging music, movies, & tv shows as well. Our food is delicious too lol. Don’t be afraid to give Africa a chance, you might find somethings you can relate to. Peace and love.

Hi guys... loved the conversation and the openness about cultures. Before going on to the next episodes, you have to keep in mind that this narration is made from a multi point of view (the creator is a fan of kpop in general) and therefore somewhat biased and subjective which the creator herself acknowledges; you will notice later that the creator will point out the bad way BTS were treated by the underground and western media but will avoid pointing out what the kpop scene did to BTS, on the contrary I found that she sometimes used BTS to highlight other groups. Besides - and this is a mistake that many reactors have made - what is portrayed on the dark side of Kpop is not necessarily what BTS has experienced, the dividing line between what differentiates BTS from the rest of kpop is very blurred (maybe on purpose). We don't have any source stating that it was imposed to BTS what the other groups underwent in their labels; on the contrary BangPD made it clear during his conferences that they never imposed any rhythm of work to BTS and that they just asked them to be authentic and tell their stories... BTS was first a rap crew that worked on their sounds and posted them online, the vocal line came much later and it's only then that they started their training program while living together, studying and working part time sometimes for lack of means (Jimin is the idol who had the shortest training period, less than a year). The kpop scene was for them the best way to make their message heard to the youth. On the 1st season of this series, there are a lot of mistakes and statements of BTS used out of context especially ep 4 to serve a purpose that is not necessarily true ... moreover these are remarks that we made to the creator who subsequently has greatly improved its objectivity in the following seasons. I will try to clarify the inaccuracies I noted as we go along, unless you want me to warn you before each episode. Otherwise this series is pretty well done and I recommend it of course.

guys the subtitles on the video you were react to weren't visible but as far as the reaction...was nice, I like your open and respectful minds, you don't make fun of the guys and provided as well respectful opinions so thank you for that, this series of "The Rise of Bangtan" will provide you a ride into the travel BTS took from their humble and difficult beginnings until nowadays, hope you also can react to the Run! BTS episodes later on, you will know the guys outside the artist and superstar spotlight, I am sure you will have a blast once you start react to Run! BTS episodes :)

Tyra Pugh

this right here!!!! i encourage you all to look into the bts specific guides as well while simultaneously watching this as the boys are considered special because of how a lot of their experience is outside of the kpop stereotypical circuit board

Loved each individual reaction and the discussion afterwards! We are all learning and growing together with regards to Korean culture, Asian culture and all cultures really! Thank you for always having such thought provoking honest discussions that bring an impact! Thank you for finally getting to “Rise of Bangtan” series. Looking forward to the next reaction.

Karla

new patreon member here! decided to subscribe because i love your content so far and the over all vibe of your group :) really looking forward to seeing more bts reactions from you guys 💜 i think alongside bts run and this series, you would appreciate seeing their documentaries also which really shows more behind the scenes stuff and the the passion they have for their craft (burn the stage, bring the soul, break the silence) and i'm also looking forward to you guys reacting to their legendary performance stages like MMA 2018 and 2019 🥳

Hilary Angouing

Thank you for this and next time pls could you show the close captions on the video we watch? So we could follow along with you

Sara Seidu

I really enjoyed the discussion after the video and I also agree with what Lo said about having a certain picture about some ethnicity which are not only created by movies ( or things that are being showed to us) but also by our parents. I can say my mum is staring to open up and is trying to learn more but my dad is completely narrowminded and closed off, being black (African) he thinks every other race is racist. I just hope one day we will leave in a place where we at least respect each other I don't expect everyone to get along but respect is much needed . If you liked this and would like to see what goes on during their performances backstage, what they do on tours, discussion, rehearsals etc. I absolutely recommend watching "BTS Burn the Stage(2018)"- Series on youtube (Prime) "BTS Burn the Stage (2018)"-Movie on youtube (Prime) "BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul (2019)" "Bring the Soul: the Movie (2019)" "Break the Silence: The Movie (2020)"

When are you posting the run bts episodes I need you guys to see them being crack heads 😭😂

Anonymous

You guys should do voting poles for which bts run episode to react to. Don’t start from the beginning. The older episodes are not as great and fun as the newer ones. Just a suggestion 👍🏽

Frances

Will you be doing the deleted scenes and bonus content for each episode? Highly recommended - shows how funny, endearing, and goofy the members are, and how well they get on with each other.

Lady G

I personally think it would be great to start from the beginning and see their growth. The growth of the popularity and success of BTS is also evident in the growth of RUN BTS. you can really see their growth as you watch RUN BTS in order.

Lisa

I always love your conversations after these videos. I appreciate all of you being honest and open, and just generally sharing your thoughts. This conversation was especially great. :-)

Wow. I just joined the Patreon group and I have to say I am loving this discussion. I love that this group is taking the time to have these talks with each other and discuss these more serious talking points. I think if more ppl sat down and really listened and took the time to understand where everyone is coming from we would be much better off . I am a baby army too and learning new things not only about the group but the culture as a whole. Definitely inspires. Thank you for just being real and opening yourself up to these talks. Much love and can’t wait to see more of the series. Now back to binge watching the rest of your videos. Lol

RDM46

Welcome to the Redemption 46 family Beth… Hope you enjoy the content

Hilary Angouing

Thank you for this reaction but please Nick could you add the subtitles next time for us too so we could follow along with you guys
