About the solo discussion, yes they don't need the group to be successful, if you look at their solo stuff they are crazy popular by themselves, no question about it. But they would never do that because BTS wants the group to last as long as it can go. The members complement each other and feel secure in leaning on one another for support. So no jealousy, no competition, just gratitude. There's an episode in Rise of Bangtan about their strong bond and mutual appreciation which is one of the reasons why they are so successful compared to other groups. And I love your reactions because each one of you brings something different to the table, kind of like bangtan. Don't go solo lol

Jin is the king of ballads no one not even JK could sing Jin’s solo songs and bring it justice and that’s saying a lot cuz Jk is my favorite vocalist atm. I remember hearing this song for the first time and it brought tears to my eyes cuz this is something I should have been doing loving myself first instead of putting everyone’s needs before me. What Lo said makes sense as an Army and an OT7 I do believe that the hyung line is under appreciated let’s make it clear not under rated but under appreciated. I know Armys would say it’s not true and you might think that but let me just say check out their fancams and their view count and compare it to the maknae line. Lol yes they’re amazing on their own but having different people on the table having a discussion is a completely different experience. We get to hear different opinions on things which I really like.

Jin is absolutely an amazing vocalist. I know it sucks sometimes in some songs he isn't shown or given as many lines and there are some who hate that, but the members have said why and how that happens. Consider that Jin's voice is really powerful, there are some songs that are not going to require that kind of voice as much or only for certain parts. To me, Tae and Jin have the most range vocally. Jin can hit supper high notes, but also deep lower notes as well. You guys should check out Jin's other solo songs- Abyss, Tonight, Moon(this is his song for ARMYs), Awake, and I really wish more reactors would check out Crystal Snow- This is a Japanese track by BTS and all of them are impressive in this song but... the highlight of this song is Jin's triple high note. 💜

This song is amazing when Jin performs it live. Hope you get the chance to check it out sometime. Agree with the recommendations for other Jin solo songs (I especially like Moon and Abyss - both his songs but very different from each other). If you’re looking for a vocal line song where he shines (as do the others), I suggest Truth Untold - also the live version.

Jin is truly a ballad king! This song made me cry also when I first heard it. You should check out his solo songs, “Moon” and “Abyss”. Jin really shines with his high notes and vocals in the song, “Crystal Snow” . Please check that out as well. Pete is a great addition to the team! Always love to hear everyone’s reaction.

11:32 I think they kinda did that with MOTS: 7 - That album was like a celebration of them 7 being together for 7 years now and as well as their individuality. Just for me, MOTS: 7 is top-tier. Ya'll gotta check the story/lyrics behind each song. Because they all had their solos there which kinda tells their own story. Then they have group singles too. I just really love how each song showcases their background but is coherent with the group still. Hope we get to have an album reaction to that or atleast a reaction to each song and the lyrics. It gives you an extra layer of understanding to them as an artist and a person. You'll enjoy it!

Also want to recommend Awake by Jin. It's his solo track as well. That single gave me chills when I first learned what the song was about. So basically, it's about him accepting his weaknesses as a member of BTS and becoming more comfortable with it so as long as he's with his brothers. Speaks a lot about his love for the members and as well as his struggle as he's part of one of the biggest band right now. The lyrics is heartbreaking, even makes me emotional every time. Hope ya'll react to it as I can see you're enjoying Jin's solos too. His solos has a more Kdrama feel to it, if that makes sense. He fits in any ballad very well. The Recording Academy actually nicknamed him as "silver voice" because of how his high register sounds crystal clear (read this from an ARMY in yt).

Epiphany marked the end of the Love Yourself series and of course the following album was Map of the Soul! Genius!!!!

Since Lo brought up the comment about Jin I immediately thought about the Awake. I love all Jins solo songs I feel like it’s all so heartfelt and I hope they react to Awake sooner than later

To me Jin is probably my favorite vocalist. I am a JK Bias through and through but when it comes to Jin's vocals I can never explain how he makes me feel. Jin and JHope are probably the ones who make me have chills every time I hear their voices and I think it's because they both had no "knowledge" of singing, or rapping before Big Hit. The other members had dipped their toes in to singing and music but for Jin he had no intention of singing, he wanted to be an actor and JHope was a dancer who learned how to rap in such a short amount of time. I think their voices are so uniquely beautiful that I love hearing them sing every time. Jin's voice is so beautiful and his higher notes, especially live are a gift to the world.

Jin and Suga are my two bias in BTS, when he released this solo track "Epiphany" as a part of BTS album "Love Yourself: Answer" (each member had a solo) I felt so proud of him (and still I am ofc) until today I still feel emotional hearing this song specially for the lyrics that are really touching and I feel identify with them, like someone else mentioned please guys also react to the live performanced, will give you chills on your body...also "Awake" is another must, thank you for this nice reaction!

Going back to the basics for a Western artist is voice only, because popular music in the West grew out of radio. In Korea, however, popular music grew out of television. As a result, Kpop is - at its core and its most basic - both an auditory and visual thing. One of the things I've learned as I have fallen into and stayed in the BTS rabbit hole is that I have to throw out my Western sensibilities and just accept that it's different with BTS, because their culture and history are different. I think it's doing them a disservice to place my Western sensibilities on what they do. I love them for how they are...not for how they they match my own traditional thought about what makes good music and performance.

From what I have read from other ARMY is BTS discusses line distribution and it is divided by whoever fits the song/lyrics. Because JK is the center and main vocalist he gets a lot of lines but they work out and agree on the line distribution. ARMY please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still baby ARMY. Also, Jin has a solo called Abyss that is beautiful. There is a video on YouTube, just lyrics.
