Y'all got me jumping between youtube and patreon.😭😭😭 I'm not complaining tho Promise is the most streamed song on Soundcloud beating out Drake this year with 275m+ streams. He made it as a gift to ARMY, as most of their soundcloud songs. Thanks for the reaction y'all.💜

This song is actually a free song he released on BTS’s SoundCloud. It’s not in any of the albums or affiliated with any of BTS’s main projects but, he wanted to produce something for the fans (a gift of sorts). He wrote the song to show that he cares and to make a promise between himself and the fans to take care of ourselves. BTS do this often, each member has a few solo produced tracks released on SoundCloud just put out as side projects/ gifts for the fans. The company gives them free rein to produce and release the music they want solo/group/duo or otherwise aside of affiliations with the group. It’s cool when they just drop stuff out of nowhere. Promise is one of my favourites for sure!

Yea they actually layer their vocals JK mostly then Jhope and Jimin are usually in the background.. don’t base off the assumption cuz of the English songs that they put out cuz their English songs are just done differently compared to their Korean tracks if that makes senses.

"Life Goes On", "Film Out," "Stay Gold" and "Let Me Know." are some good songs that show the layering their vocals. I would also encourage to check out this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=145nU0nCuRM. It does a really good job of highlighting Jungkook (JK) as the main vocalist of the group and how much he contributes to the background vocals and the guide tracks for a lot BTS songs. BTS has really grown vocally and its awesome to see all of the members display their vast vocal abilities and come out of their comfort zones. I've really enjoyed listening to the rap line displaying their vocal abilities and even on some of their online performances watching the vocal line display their rap abilities.

This song was released in Soundcloud as a free song. It was never included on any album. In my opinion it is a love letter to ARMY to remind us to look inside us for that light (enlightenment) instead of looking for it on other people...like him. Jimin loves ARMY and he wants us to realize that we should love ourselves and "don't throw ourselves away" That's why he is asking us to make that PROMISE with our Pinkies (one of ARMY's favorite Jimin's charm).

Louder than Bombs is actually heartbreaking, it's a personal song for them. For We are Bulletproof: The Eternal, watch the festa mv. The whole mv is an illustration of what they went through, their whole journey as a group. It's a very special song for BTS and ARMY.

BTS's Soundclound is a very freestyle and artistic space for them to make songs/demos/covers. I like Promise, and I would also recommend 'Still with You' by JK and 'Winter bear' by V, two other hidden gems :)
