I love this song purely bc it was the first time we had seen my bias DO in 2 years, but I definitely had the feeling this wouldn’t be the song for you guys… Also I think SM was just trying to get an EXO album out between 2 members coming back from the army, and two members going. (Baekhyun & Chanyeol were enlisted by the time this mv released and so there were no promotions). They’ll probably try to release another one next year after Chen & Suho get back and before Kai & Sehun enlist. This mv is related to another one (Power), but even though EXO has a storyline, it’s not super necessary to watch the videos in any sort of order. They come from another world, they each have a superpower, and they’re fighting the Red Force. That concept makes its way through all their different universes.

It affects it, but it also creates other things, like I don’t think SuperM would have existed if SM weren’t trying to keep Taemin busy while the rest of Shinee was enlisted, or Baekhyun and Kai, while EXO is starting to enlist. And it makes the guys all work extra hard bc they know they have a 2 year break in their career coming up, so they need to be popular before then to survive in the industry.

I don’t really get why ppl be so pressed over lyrics “conflicting” especially when you can’t understand the song anyways. It’s music you can interpret it however you want :)
