i know im gonna need a minute to get through this one, whew. and as a group they did have other songs, just no music video, so this is their first MV but not first song.

RDM46

FIGURED THAT... THAT WHY I SAID I'M SURE THEY HAD THINGS OUT JUST NOT AN MV... ENJOY AND THANKS FOR THE INFO... MORE BTS COMING SOON LOL

Madison

Whenever you get a chance I just linked Jimin's best high notes and raspy vocals by Jem, its 16 mins so idk how long you like to keep your vids but its just a recommendation. https://youtu.be/1LtSXxUN9fw

RDM46

They were quite something when they debuted😀! But I still like the song a lot and they grew a lot. When they performed this song live recently, there was more confidence and charisma. You should check that out when you can! Thank you again for the reaction

Suncedars Hul

Thanks for the reaction

Also, I want to add. They still do hip-hop or rap related music. Recent as of their Album BE (Dis-ease) and MOTS:7 (Persona, Shadow, Ugh, Respect). They are very versatile and I think that's part of their appeal

Tenny

Can you please react to their armypedia performance and room live? Also react to dis-ease

Tenny

They are a very versatile group Nd they r constantly trying something new. You can always find something for every unique listener.

It would’ve been nice to start from the beginning and watching some of “who is BTS” stuff may have helped…who knows and staying with one band before moving onto new groups.

Gladeez

Brooo they still do hip-hop stuff, their most recent album BE you got Dis-ease, then the album b4 that MOTS:7 You got UGH, Respect, Interlude: Shadow, Outro: Ego, plus they will continue to drop solo stuff wether it be solo songs or albums/mixtapes, so they don’t need to worry that they’ll never get that sort of BTS again, yes BTS branched off into other genres even tho they was originally supposed to be a Hip-Hop group, but there is no shortage of rap/hip-hop from them, their discography has sooo much 300+ songs and still a new album coming soon probably early next year, you guys need to refresh your minds on all of their albums so u guys can show them the kind of music they’re asking for/wanna see more of from BTS, yoooo show them “Danger” and “We are bulletproof pt. 2 Live” next plzz 💜💜💜, I really loved y’all discussion at the end, it was great, I’m loving these BTS reactions!!!

Gladeez

Armypedia and BTS Festa room live 2021 !!! Please those are perfect

Suga went from " I want big house big car big ring" in no more dream to " I Got a big house, big car, big ring" in What do you think (on the D-2 album) 🔥 Love the debate you've got . I hope they will do more hiphop's song and maybe that's what they're up to. There is a Permission to dance RnB Remix (I personally prefer this one) I hope you will react to that to have your thoughts about it

Heidi Robles

Thanks for the reaction ! Show them bts festa room live they do a medley of their older songs to their recent ones it’s cool !

Joua Xiong

Will you guys be reacting to the rap line solo albums? That will be interesting.

RDM46

RDM46

I HEAR YOU BUT ITS NCT, BLACKPINK, EXO, STRAY KIDS, SVT, TRESURE, ITZY, TXTFANS ETC HERE... MORE BTS IS COMING BUT WE DEF WANT TO SHARE THE LOVE.. ALSO WE WANT TO DISCOVER NEW GROUPS TOO..

Erica Phifer

Love the reaction! They still do add Hip hop in their music it may not be as much as their earlier stuff, but it is still there.

RDM46

YEAH WE AGREE JUST NOT ON THE SAME TYPE TIME AS THE 1ST MV... DANGER AND WE ARE BULLETPROOF IS COMING SOON BUT I'D BE LYING TO MY FRIENDS IF I TOLD THEM 330+ TRACKS ARE ALL GONNA SOUND THE SAME... I LOVE BTS BECAUSE EVERY ERA HAS SWITCH UPS AND DIFFERENT UNIQUE SOUNDS. I LOVE THE RAP LINES BUT BTS IS MORE THAN JUST RAPPING TO ME... THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK AND LOVE

RDM46

YEAH THIS DISCUSSION WAS DOPE... AND SUGA DEF WENT OFF LOL

RDM46

AGREED.. I JUST DON'T WANT THEM TO EXPECT THE KINDA HIP HOP THEY HEARD FROM THIS REACTION ON EVERYTHING MOVING FOWARD.. JUST WANTED TO EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT THE GROUP GOT OLDER AND THEIR SOUND MATURED

Regardless of the aesthetic, what made this debut unique and authentic (not formulaic or typical of other debuts) was the message and lyrics. They were writers on the song and they were speaking out on what was (and still is) a very relevant issue - the disenfranchisement of youth who are stripped of their dreams and forced to fit into cookie-cutter moulds by the older generation. That's precisely what elevated them above most other kpop artists, in addition to their particular blend of hip hop and idol music. They still do produce music like that (and recently too), with the same ethos and angst (just a different type of angst - more refined and complex). I strongly recommend the following tracks: - "Ddaeng" (https://youtu.be/VBy319Xnfzo; with the DKDKTV explanation) - "Ugh" (with the DKDKTV explanation; you'll appreciate it so much more) - "Outro:Tear" (read about the context of that song; they were on the verge of breaking up) - "Hip Hop Phile" (shows their authentic connection to Hip Hop) - "Bapsae" (this channel has English subbed live performances and this one has a great explanation of Baepsae: https://youtu.be/L_hchf9n0K0" - "Born Singer" (J Cole inspired; amazing: https://youtu.be/8cUQ3lF3_O8) - "Ma City" - All the Cyphers (but # 2 specifically) -- watching the updated xCeleste Hardships docu will really give context to this - "Spine Breaker" (https://youtu.be/I9dvfTpK35g; watch with the DKDKTV explained video) - "Interlude: Shadow" - "We Are Bulletproof, part 2" - "Attack on Bangtan" - Agust D: "Agust D", "Strange", "People" - "Ego" and "Daydream" And so many others honestly. There's enough grit and angst to spare, you won't run out soon : ) Thanks for your reactions!

RDM46

AGREED BUT I ASLO DON'T THINK THE RAP SOUNDS MATCHES THE 1ST MV.. WE CAN AGREE THEY STILL HAVE RAP CONTENT BUT DDAENG & UGH SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE NO MORE DREAM OR WE ARE BULLETPROOF.. MY POINT WAS THAT I DON'T WANT THEM TO THINK ALL THE OLD CONTENT IS JUST "RAP"... BTS IS MORE THAN JUST RAP.... THANK YOU FOR THE FEEDBACK AND FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT AS WELL

If you guys decide to react to Danger perhaps you could also react to the Bi Hit MV Danger The Mo-Blue Mix https://youtu.be/3Wz-KiqFXGc

Anonymous

I enjoyed this reaction and the discussion 😂😂

Chelsea

Rapline are credited as songwriters on this track. So while I think their "Image" is way more manufactured than it is now- the actual music itself I feel like is right up their alley

Anonymous

"You dont think Miley Cyrus can sing??????" hahaahahahaha

H

It would nice to see a full album reaction

I cant believe this video turned me into one of those essay writing commenters. I didn't know I had it in me

RDM46

LOL THE DISCUSSION COULD'VE WENT FOR 2 HOURS BUT WE WRAPPED IT UP

Doyoungismyult

when are people in this comment section going to realize that they can praise there favorite artists without discrediting other groups...that is always extremely frustrating for me to see as someone who has loved kpop since 2008. Newer fans constantly discredit other groups and often discredit them or say they are inauthentic etc....like I can guarentee to those people that there are several kpop groups that write and produce there own music....but they are too busy discrediting other kpop groups instead of discovering those amazing groups. I appreciate you guys so much for your respectfulness when reacting to other groups and the way you give love to them all and love to discover new groups and songs. Thank you so much for that! There are so many phenomenal and talented groups in this vast and beautiful world of kpop

RDM46

YEAH I TRY MY BEST WHEN WE'RE HAVING CONVOS TO NOT SHIT ON OTHER GROUPS JUST TO MAKE OTHER GROUPS LOOK BETTER... I DON'T MIND CONSTRUCTIVE COMPARISONS BUT I HATE WHEN PPL GO OUT THEIR WAY TO BASH A GROUP JUST TO PRAISE ANOTHER ONE..

Anonymous

You should definitely react to the live performance Come Back Home + No More Dream + Mic Drop. If copyright issues then please react to this at least on Patreon, you would love it so much! The No More Dream performance is one of their best, it was more recent so they brought that confidence they had less in 2013

RDM46

DEF GONNA BE DROPPING MORE LIVE PERFORMANCES ON HERE SOON

-Mac-

I'm laughing at this commentary because I first saw Idol, turned right around, and went to this MV No More Dream and had fits about the cultural appropriation, then read the lyrics. I LOVED what they were saying and did the entire album, then want and watched :sigh: I really hated the show, but I stuck it out, American Hustle Life. It showed me their grit and their deep appreciation for Hip Hop and Rap and since at the time, that's what they were doing, it was so important for them to have a better understanding and closer connection to the genre beyond what they 9particualrly the rappers) listened to as they came up. I think the entire School Era was so well done, even though the MV's are very dated in appearance, the lyrics still stand the test of time. Knowing *what* they are talking about and having access to the cultural references has really made their earlier work, in particular, so much more long-lasting for me. I think Lo has the right of it, go through each album, even if it's only the lyrics version of a song and no MV, and hear the growth and progression in style, lyricality, and production; they get in on that as well OOoh fights. LOL. JK is 15 at the time of this video, he spent ~2 years as a trainee. RM, Suga, and J-hope are credited as *writers* for this their very first MV. (Along with Pdogg, Hitman Bang, and Supreme boi (fun fact, supreme boi was actually initially going to be in BTS and bailed. I like him as a writer-producer better, I think, so I'm glad.) However the notion of being produced and not having input, while very common in the K-pop world is actually NOT what BTS were about, they really were involved in their music even in the beginning,
