I need a quick break from drawing hands (I'm working on the up-skirt frame), so let's run through some more Thousand Year Old Vampire!

Recap

Last time we played our succubus things had started to get interesting, and pretty dark. Mira's parents are dead and she's adrift in the large city of Regenesburg. It's unclear if she can return to the old estate and inherit the title, or if she'll need to pick up and move. That's the main question I hope to figure out today!

Back to the Game!

We ended off at prompt #5, so I'll roll some dice. A 7 and a 2 move us forward to prompt #10.

"The stars pinwheel above you in the night. The seasons are a blur. You are an automaton, unconscious to the passage of decades. A century passes. Strike out a Memory. Strike out all Mortal characters."
Memory 3 (Vanity)
2. "I return to palace, only heir to the throne my father's 'accident' has left. A cover story is invented, and all are sworn to secrecy. A month later I am crowned Dutchess of Helvia. I wear droplets of diamond and ruby - tears and blood, in secret memory of what I have done. Dignitaries from all over the empire come to visit and congratulate me. I think I see
Faron in the crowds, but I cannot find him later. I search all night."

"For decades I rule with a gentle hand. I age, but age does not mark me as it does others. My beauty, my prowess, my
hunger, all grow more impressive. When my unending youth begins to attract attention I invent rumours of a pregnancy and grow reclusive. Twenty years later I am my own daughter, and my secret is safe enough. It seems as if I have always been the Dutchess of Helvia, and that I always will be."

This is the first time we've needed to strike off a Memory. I choose Memory #1: "My Family". Some combination of time and guilt has washed those early years away, and the Dutchess of Helvia may at times truely believe she always was the ruler here.

Notably, the name Mira was tied directly to an experience in that Memory, so it's lost to time as well. I imagine she's worn many names in the last few decades, but that Mary, the assumed name she adopted in Regenesburg, has reappeared multiple times.

I strike off handmaiden Aliana as she passes from old age - a trustworthy servant, but a temporary one. I also go through and update my resources to reflect how they must have changed to reflect the times:

Resources
My Bodyguards; The Helvia Guard are fiercely loyal, and none have ever been bribed with coin. Upon my body I have them swear an oath of loyalty, and with my body I reward their noble service.
A Wardrobe of Antique Dresses; Styles that stretch back decades, maybe centuries, stuff my closets. Many have been in and out of style multiple times.

And we do some more rolling! 10 and 5, so we jump forward to prompt #15:

"While traveling you come into contact with another immortal. Gain a Mark. Who are they? What trick did you play upon them? Create a new immortal character."
Memory 5 (Debauchery)
1. When the opportunity to visit the kingdom of France arose I jumped at the opportunity. Through the western courts I toured, searching everywhere for
Faron like an abandoned puppy. I do not find him.
On the dark French roads my small party is ambushed. The Helvia Guard fight bravely, but our foe is not wounded. When two men are ripped apart I order our surrender and offer myself over unconditionally. The wolfman Kylian accepts - no creature on Gods green Earth could refuse me - and drags me away.
Kylian is no mortal. He does not unravel when I tug, and he tugs back with equal strength. He has me howling in the dirt, begging for his cock; his children. He is a drug like I have never had before and it threatens to consume me from the inside out. With the dawn he shifts and becomes more man than wolf and slumps to the ground, asleep at last. I stumble, spent, back to my worried retinue. We speed away as fast as we can.
Immortals
2.
Kylian the Woflman; French werewolf of unknown origins. He took me as a roadside prize, and it has left me wanting more.
Marks
2.
I cannot control myself around other Immortals. My breath quickens, my desire swells, my thoughts fog. Even my body responds: my breasts grow sensitive, my nipples harden, my pussy drenches itself in anticipation.

Mary has enjoyed a hundred years of dominance within her close social circle, but her encounter with Kylian threatens the stability of that! It turns out that fellow immortals offer far finer experiences than her traditional food, and she hungers for those lofty moments. If she finds herself exposed to more immortals going forward this mark might get her into some trouble, or it might drive her to find a way to suppress or control it.

Another roll, and another prompt. 1 and 5, so we slide back to prompt #11:

"How do you find solace from the raging hunger within you? You may lose one checked or unchecked Skill."
Memory 3 (Vanity)
3. Each year I hold a grand ball and invite only the finest bachelors and bachelorettes from the realm. I have them parade past each other like prize horses, sizing each other up, privately selecting the most suitable mate. I arrange chance meetings, private dinners, sometimes even interrupted coitus, all to provoke emotion from the young stallions and mares. I drink in their repressed lust, and it sustains me adequately. It reminds me of the nunnery.

I decide not to remove any checks. It's tempting to take off "Bloodlust", but I like Mary having a killer edge available to her when she needs it.

One more prompt for today! 1d10 and 1d6 yields a 6 and a 6. We stay on the same prompt and move down to the second section:

"You discover an internal focus which lets you maintain control of your vampire self. Lose a violent Memory, take the Skill "I Control the Beast", and rewrite any unchecked Skill as something new. What new name do you take to distance yourself from what you once were? How is this name symbolic?"
Memory 5 (Debauchery)
In my chambers I have an elaborate system of chains and ropes and pulls and restraints. They are not for my prey - My honey sweet gaze holds them more firmly than iron - but for myself. When first I subject myself to the restraint the
hunger overwhelms me. I rage and salver at the bonds. I offer my Helvia Guard everything they could want! My body! My love! My bloodline! They have explicit orders and they follow them faithfully, trusting they will be rewarded in due time.
With practice the hunger grows weaker, and I grow stronger. The chains and restraints become unnecessary, no matter how tempting a morsel my Guard find for me. My mind is iron and my nature will serve me, not the other way around. When the cardinal passes through town I make vows of piety and take the Christian name Chastity.
Skills
I Control the Beast - The having is the sweetest moment, but the
wanting can be drawn out for days, months, years. I only need the wanting now. The hunger sits hidden in my hips, chained like a savage dog.
Straps and Chains (replacing Musical Talent) - The same straps that once contained me can contain others for my benefit. I can keep hold of things - even immortal things - if I can get them to agree to it first.

Chastity has forgotten her family, so I choose to transform the skill that was most directly attached to that time in her life. During this transformation she also loses Memory #2 (Freedom), taking with it the experience of having her parents murdered. With it she also loses the last reference to Alexius, her stable hand and first lover.

Conveniently, this prompt has given me a useful skill to resist that new Mark we picked up this session. I'm enjoying this temporary high for Mary/Charity, if only for the dramatic turn when it starts to fall apart!

Now that was a long post to make it through, so here's a little reward: I've been working on a patron thank-you, and here's a tiny teaser:

I'll leave you to guess what this background is going to be used for!
