Lol, you’re killing me! 😝🤣 It showed it in the captions when the MC came to the stage before everyone started performing, he said that these were original songs created for the show and the groups to use. The people you hear and see performing them in the dance practice type setting are basically the “guide tracks” so they know what the song and choreo is and they have something to go off of. Of course they are allowed to change the song and choreo up if they would like. So they are not covers, but their actual original songs that they were given the rights to use. And remember they told the eliminated groups that although they wouldn’t be performing the song on the show, their gift from the show was to still be able to use the song/choreo/outfits from the performance… so it is theirs to use still as well. Which I thought was awesome cause they could release it as a single if they wanted to. Hopefully that clears up some confusion. 💕

Haha! It’s funny cause i put this together while watching the next episode. I guess I totally wasn’t reading the subtitles when it was mentioned lol or maybe i just was overthinking it.
