It's pretty accepted that they will be the next nct group with sungtaro but there's definitely been instances where line-ups change or group plans end up getting canceled last minute so you can never be really sure you'll debut until you actually do it. If you look at SMRookies content from before there was another trainee who appeared really frequently until he pretty randomly left SM and joined a survival show. However, I'd definitely love to see sungtaro + rookies debut together! (or rookies debut and sungtaro in a unit you know what I mean haha)

The first and second season life the boys were still sm rookies at the time right before debuting watching this reminds me of that time first season but we definitely get more details about trainee life in this episode. I like all three rookies so i really hope they succeed in their career. But yes hansol was a part of that show ended up leaving the company later never actually debuting with NCT. The second season we met kun and win win right before 127's debut. The 3rd nct life is the first 127 nct life but doyoung and Johnny had not joined yet. Anywho... I love to see their journey and the team start to build a relationship with each other.
