Sadly this album feels a bit disjoined, since it featured previous released b-sides. While I like the older songs, I kinda wished they weren't thrown in - especially since the girls and their sound matured a lot more and the cuter ones didn't fit the vibe of Wildside at all. Overall Sayonara is still my favorite, but Color of Love is a close second - the message of that song is great! Marionette sampled the xylophone signature of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker! So you were right with Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, it's from the same score! They're not playing around with their "classical collaborations" :D Marionette, Jackpot, Snap Snap and Color of Love are the new songs. Aitai-tai and 'Cause It's You (which the girls dedicated to their fans btw!) come from their #Cookie Jar mini album and Sayonara and Swimming Pool were Sappy's b-sides!

I was wondering how you would feel about their Japanese songs which tend to be brighter. Knowing that you are more of a velvet fan. Sayonara came out with Sappy I think, which is one of my favorite songs by them. I had mixed feelings on them putting all their Japanese songs together. It makes the album not feel cohesive. Still encourage you to go into their Korean albums. You’ll find more rnb inspired songs there.

Wow, I can't believe you clocked that Tchaikovsky sample, I had nooooo clue hahaha :D Quite impressed. Swimming Pool is 100% Disney Channel movie soundtrack hahaha :D YEAH. It's maybe the one Red Velvet song that I just don't really like? It's cute. But I did NOT add it to my playlist. Cause its You sounds like a Drama OST (maybe it is?) but it's also not on the playlist. It's better than Swimming Pool but just not the kind of thing I want to listen to on a regular basis. The tracks on this album being kind of just thrown together of all their Japanese tracks plus new songs makes it be a bit of a mishmash, but the new songs would have been a mini album on their own so I feel like maybe Japanese fans would be happy to get all the Japanese language RV in one go, even if they don't feel like a cohesive album? IDK. I like all the new songs, I am good with Sayonara, Sappy, Aitaitai although they aren't my favorites of all time they're good enough that I would still listen to them. Color of Love feels so comforting, but I think Snap Snap might be my favorite on the album! Well. OK after Wildside. Haha! :D I really love how much Jackpot feels like you're running through a casino all hyped up, they really did an incredible job with it. There's this one little sample sound in it that is like a zip-zip kind of a sound in the ... prechorus maybe?.. that gets me jamming every time. The prechorus of that song is so gorgeous anyway. I always kind of feel like it's speeding up in tempo even though I'm pretty sure it is not which is an interesting feeling.
