They were so tiny here! Unlike SM's other groups SHINee's debut was dropped out of the blue with no build up or teasers or anything, even the members barely had any advance notice. There's a behind the scenes of this where they all meet up with their families backstage right afterwards, it's so wholesome. Replay had a nostalgic sound even when it was released, kind of like SNSD's debut as well. I'm pretty sure Taemin sang quietly in the group melodies he just didn't have any solo lines. I think his voice was still breaking at the time, he was only 14. I do miss when they made choreo's taking ease of singing into consideration, people complain about everybody lipsynching these days but part of it is that it's physically impossible to sing live with most recent choreo. There's something so charming about their live vocals with tiny mistakes here and there. Not that I don't love crazy choreos too but it's nice to have a bit of both, you know?

If you’re interested, there’s a Japanese version of Replay that they released a couple years later (I believe). There’s a MV that’s different from the original and Taemin has lines in that version as well. There are also several other Japanese Shinee MVs that I only recently discovered and I think they’re all worth checking out.
