My first album listen!! I felt a little awkward doing this, haha, but i'll get better at them and I hope you guys enjoy! I had to work around my loud laptop, so the audio may sound a little strange for me during the songs, but that's to make sure you're able to hear it too.

I'm pretty sure SR15B stands for "SM Rookies 2015 Boygroup", It's basically the name of the pre debut group before NCT happened. Hansol was a part of SM Rookies and was even in some of the pre debut content but he left SM cause of unknown reasons. He did debut in a group called Newkidd in 2019, but he also enlisted this year It would definitely have been interesting to see how things would have turned out if he got to debut with NCT back then, he's 94 line like Taeil

The name of their first album is actually “NCT #127” lol It is weird looking back and seeing how small 127 was, they were missing Johnny, Doyoung and Jungwoo. This isn’t my favorite mini album of theirs, but it’s a good one for sure. “Paradise” was about them a team and also about NCT’s lore with the dream stuff. Yeah “Mad City” is crazy, the live is insane! “Switch” was a song featuring SR15B. SR15B stands for “SM Rookies from 2015 Boys”. SM used to call their rookies and trainees this. For girls it would’ve said SR15G. In this song it consisted of 127, the already debuted NCT members, Doyoung, Ten and NCT Dream and then the soon to debut members Johnny and Hansol. Hansol however left the company soon after so he never got to debit whereas Johnny debuted the next year in 127. You’ll see Hansol in the first season of NCT Life when you start to watch that. Everyone expected him to join NCT but he left and as of right now he’s in a different kpop group and in the military rn I believe. There’s a music video for “Switch” that I was actually hoping you’d react to! It’s basically the first of their “year projects music videos” that have all current members of NCT at the time. There was only 14 of them in 2016. It’s another song that sings about NCT’s lore of connecting through dreams. My ranking of my favorites off this album: 1. Switch (feat. SR15B) 2. Firetruck 3. Paradise 4. Once Again 5. Mad City 6. Another World 7. Wake Up l do like “Wake Up”, but it’s just too long and repetitive for me lol and “Switch” is my favorite because of its meaning and it’s just so bright and happy, it makes me feel good lol It’s totally fine to have songs you don’t like from your favorite artists and that’s why I love NCT’s music and discussing it so much because they have SUCH good songs, that it’s interesting hearing everyone’s opinions.

I think the lyric videos are really helpful to just be able to focus and appreciate the vocals without being distracted by the visuals (cause they are a problem). Also for us english speakers it helps better understand the song. Mad City is such a statement song, especially for a first album, they really started their careers telling everyone who they were unapologetically. The last song was 127 featuring SM Rookies, which is what all the trainees were called so everyone on that song besides 127 were still trainees, which made the meaning even better cause they were all about to debut. Hansol was a trainee and was supposed to be in NCT but he left the company so that is why you didn't know him. I like most NCT songs but I feel like their albums got better over time once they really found their sound. You can love a group and not love every song.

Very true, and what’s funny is I ended up playing the album on repeat just get a better feel for it and I’m found myself enjoying the songs I didn’t initially like on the next few times haha. Crazy how that works. The whole album is definitely a vibe. I actually had Switch on my NCT list for the channel as well :)

it feels odd listening to this album again because they were so young back then havxhah. my favourite is mad city because i can see the journey of markyong as songwriters and rap duo! they made it during predebut too so seeing them actually performing it on stage and concerts make me feel kinda proud >_<

Hello RJ! So happy to be on the patreon! Really excited to see you react to more albums and NCT reality content!! I'm sad I haven't been able to be more active commenting on youtube since I started a new job but I am excited to chat about the boys here *On youtube my username is SunflowerRosezen :). On here I am Shawol930 since SHINee was my original Ult group!

The concert stage for Wake Up is so dangerously amazing. I swear I get a heart attack when I see them dancing on that crazy stage. P.S please react to Switch MV! They are so young and some of them hadn't even debuted yet!

In listening to this album with you (embarrassingly I usually just listen to 127 in pieces) I’m realizing how much I like their EDM genre tracks… I feel like that somehow shows my age😅

Favorite track Mad City❤️‍🔥

Are you interested in watching NCT life in Gapyeong at all? It's just nice and fun but also relaxing, it would be fun to watch along with you if you're interested 😊

Mad City and Wake Up live are so good!! Switch actually has a music video and it's so cute 🥺 It's crazy going back to this album and hearing how they sounded back then, like Jaehyun's voice changed so much and not hearing Doyoung in there is so weird haha. The members that weren't there were Doyoung, Johnny and Jungwoo. I can't wait to hear your opinion on their other albums!

Manal

You have to watch their Neo City concert !!
