also, a reminder that since oh aew was a child, he has this thing where when he scrunches his nose, that means he has a back itch. only teh really noticed(s) this little quirk about him.

What broke my heart the most in this episode is the way that Teh's confusion and reluctance to accept what he was feeling bled over into Oh's confidence. We've seen Oh as very aware of who he liked and who he is. He wasn't conflicted about liking boys/men and was confident in his attraction if still shy about expressing it. When Teh continually struggled with accepting Oh (even tho Teh's feeling were valid and understandable if frustrating) it threw Oh into a spin of confusion about himself. I remember being confused myself by his response with the photo...this time through, I have more understanding, I think. It seems more about his questioning of how he can get Teh to love him/accept him/be what he wants rather than a questioning of himself. Like a moment of wondering "if I were a girl would this all be easier?" especially given how much Teh had fixated on his chest during their intimate moments. I missed that the first time. As a cis person watching this show gave me so much more sensitivity when watching various friends go on their personal LGBTQ journeys. Having close friends go through transition and other close friends come out while in their late 20's early 30's has been a blend of empowerment and heartbreak--much like this show. Heartbreak for the struggle and confusion but empowering to watch someone become comfortable and settled and welcomed for who the truly are.
