"There is no way these are the pants I ordered."

He looked at the box's label sitting on his bed. Written in bold letters was his name, Shawn Cox, and directly under his name was his address. All evidence seemed to indicate that this was the package he had been waiting for, but whether he'd missed clicked or had been sent the wrong item, looking at his own frustratingly oversized package, Shawn knew there was no way he'd fit inside.

An unfortunately common occurrence for him, Shawn's adult life has been a struggle fashion wise. And if he wanted to start dating again, he needed to update his wardrobe. He gives a silent curse to his friend Zoe for convincing him to get back into the dating game, nowadays everything was dating apps, the most popular one currently being Int'Mate (The Inteligent way to find your Mate). And if he thought he was bad at flirting in person, flirting via text was like trying to crack a safe using ten-foot-long salad tongs while blindfolded.

With a sigh of defeat, he drops the size too small pants to the floor, his prodigious bulge swinging down to slap against his thighs without the support. He doesn't have high hopes for the App, and even if he does manage to get a date, in the past every ewe that has laid eyes on his stallion have graciously (some not so graciously) declined to "saddle up". By the end of college Shawn had accepted he might never find that special someone. But after five years of being alone, Zoe was right, he wasn’t going to find anyone hiding in his apartment.

Dropping onto his bed, he begins the arduous task of returning the pants to the online retailer. Maybe later he’ll look up some tips on dating apps, though he still doubts there’s someone out there interested in a sheep that’s hung like a horse.

This is a character I’ve been kicking around for awhile now, so long he almost made it into the group instead of Brian. But I held off because I wasn’t completely satisfied with Shawn’s look, slotting him into the 2nd generation cast of Dani’s world. I have a few ideas for how Shawn will join Dani and the others, but I used the Tight-Pants-Meme as an excuse to draw him now. I've said before I like introducing characters in the story, like how Rebecca had an actual comic page introduction, instead of just a random image. But I still want to draw these characters, which ends up leaving Victor, and now Shawn, in a kind of narrative limbo. I just need to hurry up and get drawing so I can get the other three, Tera, Zoe, and Lydia, into the game.
