Had a real problem with concertation and energy this week, coworkers quitting and going on vacation, long story short I hate my job.  I'm skipping the vote this week so I can get more Wild Academy out .

"Shopping" by Kulkum

Once upon a time, the fox had hated going shopping. Following his mother as a kit and teenager, walking between various stores. It never really mattered if they were shopping for her or shopping for him, he had just never felt it was really necessary to spend so long deciding on clothes when most mammals ended up wearing something similar to their own personal style most of the time, anyway.

Take him, for example. He wore patterned button up short sleeved shirts, slacks, and a tie most of the time. This wasn’t because he didn’t have anything to wear, it was simply that he felt comfortable with that style. Just like Finnick could most often be seen in wearing cargo shorts and a t-shirt. Just like his mother often wore what he considered to be motherly dresses in a classical style that she had never tried to change.

He thought the exact same thing now as he followed the bunny around the shopping plaza in the Square, already carrying two colorful shopping bags with two outfits in one paw while he held hers in the other and listened while she chatted about work. It wasn’t that the company wasn’t appreciated, because he certainly could have thought of worse ways to spend one of his days off that walking around with an adorable bunny looking up at him with bright violet eyes.

He was also pretty sure he could find better.

But he knew that it was a part of the whole ‘couple’ routine that most males and some females had to suffer through for the sake of keeping their clothes hungry partners happy. So, he followed along and chatter with her until they reached another boutique that looked exactly like a store that he never would have set foot in if he had any choice in the matter. But, being the faithful fox that he was, he followed her into the store where she immediately started to search the racks of clothes for something. ‘Something’ in his mind meant that she had no idea what she was looking for but would pretend she did until she found something she liked.

He wasn’t paying much attention to her selection, even when she tugged on his paw to move towards the dressing rooms.

“I’ll be right back!” she said cheerfully, flashing him a smile before literally bouncing to the dressing room with a bundle of clothes on her arm.

Her cheer was a temporary cure for his boredom, so it was with a weary sigh that he started to flip through the games on his phone to find something to pass the time. Before he even managed to open one that looked interesting, the door to the dressing room opened again. He felt a tightness in his chest at how beautiful she was, in the perfect outfit for summer: a short, white pleated skirt with a sleeveless pink top, finished off with a light blue sweater tied over her shoulders. Her smile was bright as she turned slowly in place for him, showing off the new look.

“What do you think?” she asked, pausing when she noticed a display of wide brimmed hats within striking distance. He couldn’t stop the grin that grew across his muzzle as he shook his head when she stepped over and picked out one of the hats.

“It’s you, Carrots. Every bright, sunny, beautiful inch of you.”

Her smile only brightened further at his words before she moved over to him, dragging him down so she could place a kiss on his cheek.

“Thanks for coming shopping with me today,” she said, placing her paw into his for a moment before she pulled away with a grin. “I’ll wear this out and then we can go home.”

Green eyes followed her as she went before he glanced down into his palm, where she had placed the panties he had seen her pull on that morning. And while he hadn’t been paying attention to the shopping, he was pretty damn sure they hadn’t even gone into the underwear section. He grinned slowly as he tucked them into his pocket and followed her with a little more bounce in his own steps.

Maybe clothes shopping wasn’t so bad, after all.

A marvelous set of images and lovely outfits. No problem here on doing something you want to, or nothing, if it helps with things.

We’ll take content over voting. I always thought voting was an artist’s way of asking ‘what now’? If you already have content sketched, get it out. Save the voting for dry spells. Just do what you need to do. We’ll always be here! : )
