"Take a Picture" by Kulkum

“So, what? I just stand here, and you take my picture?” the lion asked, his brow quirked up as he looked at the leopard behind the camera. “Do I smile, make gun-fingers, look off into the distance or something like that? Should I be in uniform?”

“No one told you what this was for?” she asked, looking at the large male from behind wire-framed glasses, her ears shifting to lay sideways when he shook his head negatively. She gave a little huff of annoyance as she straightened up, her eyes narrowed on the lion. “This is for a ZPD fundraising calendar. Something the Mayor wanted to try out. I was told that you knew what that entailed.”

“Well, yeah,” he said, folding his arms across his broad chest in a way that had the normally professional photographer struggling not to look at how his shirt fit across it. “I come, you take pictures… Right?”

“That’s right,” she replied, and tilted her head slightly as a sharp toothed grin came across her muzzle. “Now, take off your shirt.”

“My…” he began, mildly bored and annoyed attitude shifting more towards shocked as he glanced down at his own chest, then back up to the spotted feline. “…shirt?”

“Yes,” she said, folding her arms over her own chest just as he dropped his, her tail flicking lightly as she tapped one claw against the blue fabric of the blouse she wore. “You have seen the firemammal calendars, right? Strong, handsome males showing a little more fur than normal for a good cause.”

“No no, I get it,” he said, drawing a breath – which she noticed made his pectorals seem just that much bigger – before releasing it in a gusty sigh. “I suppose if it’s for a good cause. Who’ll be buying these things, anyway?”

“Anyone who wants to help the poor, starving orphans,” she replied dryly when he started to pull the shirt over his head, prompting her to move behind the camera to start snapping pictures. She paused as his chest was exposed, and the long trail of his well groomed mane all the way down the fur of his abdomen. Her eyes didn’t stop until the darker fur vanished into his jeans, at which point she shook herself out of the daze and started to take pictures again.

“Or anyone who want to ogle a lion in the buff?” he said, humor entering his voice at her long pause and the wandering of her eyes.

This only caused her ears to flick once before she started to request poses, flexes, back shots, and a dinner date.

The last one caught him off guard, but he grinned nonetheless and accepted.

“Good,” she said, staying behind the camera as she looked up at him. “Now, put on your shield and let’s try a few with your jeans unzipped.”
