Hello Patrons!

We understand that the streaming time for our upcoming live drawing session is inconvenient for many of our Patrons. For those who are not able to make it to the stream, please leave your questions below, and we might be able to answer them during our stream.

Just like last time, if I do get the chance to answer some of these questions, I'll be picking those with the most likes (heart mark). So, if you see your inquiry already posted by another Patron, simply press the heart icon for a better chance!

If you guys on the stream could write a Kill la Kill episode, no continuity required, what is your premise?

In Little Witch Academia, Who designed which character? And why did they choose that design?

Tyler Simpson

Would sushio, imiashi, or yoshinari-san consider drawing workshops and lessons? Perhaps figure drawing, storyboarding and animation? I'd pay 750-800 dollars for an 8 week lesson! With English translations of course!

For future times I think 4pm JST would be good for me, or maybe slightly earlier from your regular time? Because I'm like a whole day behind you guys.

GentleFan

For Satou-san, what are some lessons he's learned from working with more experienced key animators?

What is Ryuko's birth day?

Bobby Bobbinson

How much freedom does the studio have in terms of what anime they work on, whether it be a director's own idea like Luluco or an adaptation like Inou Battle?

Optimus Praino

Did you watch the American Gridman adaptation Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad for reference on your SSSS GRIDMAN production? Is that what SSSS stands for?

What do you enjoy most about the in-betweening process? would you like to move up to doing key-framing in the future?

A Fine Egg

For Wakabayashi - I've been having a lot of fun watching Trigger's take on a pre-existing series in SSSS.Gridman. If you, personally, could pick any form of media, whether it be a movie or a game or an older anime, and reimagine it with that Trigger flair similarly to what you're doing for Gridman, what would you pick and why?

Wakabayashi-san, any news on Inferno Cop season 2?

This is more for Tattun than for anyone else, but did you get the greenlight on telling us how the patreon money is being used?

Anonymous

Here's another one: Will you put an announcement to the trigger patreon at the end of SSSS.Gridman? You totally should!

A lot of people have asked about looking for jobs as animators, but for people interested in directing, what is an entry level job to look for? Does trigger hire people early in their careers looking to direct. I know most directors start off as assistant and episode directors but I don’t know how common those jobs are or the experience required.

A Fine Egg

I can answer this one for you, they were asked about it at AX 2018. They said that while they would enjoy doing more with Inferno Cop, like they did at last year's AX, they currently have too many projects to justify working on Inferno Cop over stuff like Gridman and Promare.

Could Akihiro share his experience in general? Why did he choose to be an animator? What did he do to get to where he is now as an in-betweener? Did he attend a specialist school? How does he feels about being an in-betweener at Trigger? And what does he hope for in future?

Are there any plans for distribution of Promare in the US and EU? With it being a theatrical release, that normally doesn't make it to the west. Even if it was just a limited viewing, I wouldn't mind travelling to a place like London or Berlin to see the movie on the big screen.

Kim Novice

What prior Trigger series would you most like to see/work on a sequel of?

Are there plans for a Space Patrol Luluco second season? Also, will Luluco/Trigger-chan make a cameo in another show (while looking for Alpha Omega Nova)?

Do you feel that programs like RETAS will remain dominant in Japan? Or will all-digital tools like Toon Boom Harmony become standard in time?

What does the script-writing process look like for a Trigger anime? In addition to your great animation, Trigger has always told really good stories, too. I was wondering how these stories come to life, from first ideas to the final product.

If they do a lab zero's adaptation it would be cool for it to be about skullgirls

Would studio trigger ever create a curriculum for artists that would like to animate for trigger?

This question is for Wakabayashi-san Trigger's most recent projects have been collabs (Darling in the FranXX with A-1, Gridman with Tsuburaya Productions, Promare with XFlag). How were your experiences with these collaborators and would you collaborate with another studio or media entity on another project? Do you prefer the collaboration experience or Trigger doing it alone?

nildicit

I missed it. :(

This question is for Akihiro Satou What is your experience as a new in-between animator at Trigger? Do you want to do key animation at a later point in time, or do you think want to stick with in-betweening?

Question for Akihiro Satou and Hiromi Wakabayashi alike: When it comes to receiving contracts and getting hired, what is the process like? For Hiromi Wakabayashi, do you ever see any differences between working with the various studios that Trigger works with?

Anonymous

what kind of books do you recommend for illustration works?

Another question for Akihiro Satou What made you interstested in character design? Any reason why you want to become a character designer?

I suppose it's pretty obvious that Trigger is already doing this, you are like pioneers. But do you think there exists a recent trend of anime studios in general slowly getting interested in overseas markets? Are they looking for more English/other languages speaking staff? Thank you.

Question for Akihiro Satou Do you have any social media we can follow and will you be boothing at comiket?

Anonymous

Is there any reason behind why the episodes of Gridman looks inconsitent in animation quality? some being a spectacle for the eye, others being a bit stale. Will you go back and fix up some of these inconsistencies on the blurays?
